Irene Theochari: These are a very impressive pair of boots and proof that we don't need to harm animals for anything, not even footwear. They are well-made and sturdy. In fact, I have now bought 3 different pairs of Rieker boots - all of them to the same manufacturing standard and comfort as well as looks. They last for years and retain their 'newness' very well. Sadly, on this occasion, one of the boots had some damage, a 1-inch surface cut. However, I'm returning them for replacement. They are just too nice!

DAbbott: This is my 3rd pair of Rieker boots. We have not seen much rain in the past years here in So. CA but this year it has poured rain. I am so glad I had these boots to wear. The first time I wore my tan pair in the rain I was afraid that they would have water spots all over them, but there was no clue that they had been absolutely soaked. They were warm as well when the weather here got unusually cold for the area I live in. They are also very stylish. One draw back on this style is that the toe area is a bit tight on the foot that I have a bunion on but the one with no bunion is fine. I am going to see if I can get them stretched just a wee bit. I get a lot of compliments on them. I wear between an 8 1/2 and a 9 in shoes and I bought the size 40. Size wise it fits well. I would definitely recommend these boots.

Heidi: This boot is amazing. When I purchased I hadn't noticed the boots are fleece lined, so what an added bonus! I really like that the boots are man made, because even though I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I try to do my part by purchasing cruelty-free make-up and clothing.
The Rieker Womens mid-calf boot is really made and comfortable. The is some synthetic "rubber", so is fairly quiet when you walk. It comes just below my knee and is so warm and comfortable. The sizing is also very accurate. I tend to vary in boot sizes, from an 8-9.5; I normally wear a 9-9.5 in shoes, so I was very happy when my size 41EU - 9.5US boots arrived and they fit perfect.
I like them so much, I thought about getting another pair. You really can't beat the weather resistance either.

Frances A.: These boots are very comfortable, waterproof and breathable--making them OK to wear inside all day and still be warm outside. They are double layer and not delicate in any way, which balances out athletic thighs and may not be good for you if your legs are very thin. They do accommodate largeish calves (about 15" in size 38). The foot part of the boot is supportive and good for walking.
