Mikki: Got these for jogging shoes. I jog in parks sometimes. They're just recreational/jogging shoes only now because the seams, multiple materials & breathing holes make it impossible to keep white. That said- GREAT support for 30min-1 hour jogs & non-slip. I've had these maaany months and the quality is stand up. No issues. Except I do like a white shoe.

Kerry Luke: I prefer the 608 model but this is a good shoe for walking and exercising. I always need a 61/2 wide in aNew balance shoe

Nunya: I am 5"10, overweight and barefoot way more than I should be. I walk on terrazo and my feet always hurt. I needed new walking shoes for days around Disney so I listened to the reviews and got these. They fit perfect in the toe area but are a little tight in the middle. I would have liked some more arch support, but I can always switch out the inserts for something higher. I love the fact the soles are actually rubber and not just a flimsy piece of rubber covering that junk that wears down in a week. I did get a wide width shoes, but these seem a little narrow (but they are leather and will probably loosen with use). Good quality shoe overall and if they made a larger size, I would probably buy those so maybe up yourself a half size.

Annice Laws: I did a Google search for "ideal walking shoes for women" and this model came up as one of the top 10 in 2019 reviews. It was also recommended by the American Diabetes Assn. and tagged as especially good for overweight walkers. I'm not diabetic but I am overweight and have been challenged with foot/ankle pain when walking, so I really wanted to find a shoe that would let me walk as much as possible. Well, this shoe does not disappoint. I ordered my usual size and it fit perfectly right out of the box. The arch support is in exactly the right spot and the toe box provides plenty of room without being sloppy. And what a dream to walk in! They are lightweight and springy. They fully cushion the heel strike and the rocking motion of the sole sort of "propels" my foot forward into the next stride. So many shoes I've tried in the past made me feel like I'm walking uphill or in soft sand, making them seem really heavy and causing my feet and lower legs to tire quickly. But with these I feel like I can walk forever. The one thing I'll say is that my heel does slip in them very slightly, which kind of surprised me because I've historically preferred New Balance shoes over other brands...

Mitzi M Webre: I try to get in at least 4 walks per week, for 4 miles at a time. Was looking forward to some new shoes. Well, if I hadn't put so many miles on these shoes over the past 2 weeks (was hoping they would get more comfortable with use), I would send them back. I did give 4 stars because they appear to be made well. But the fit is off for me. I have flat feet, and that is usually not a problem for me with New Balance walkers... but these do have a slight arch in them that bothers me. It's probably not enough for someone who has high arches and needs a lot of support, but for someone with flat feet, it is bothersome. Also, I have pain over my instep (on the top of my foot). At 58 years old, I've never had shoe problems with ANY style of shoe (dress or casual or athletic) for "high instep" (ever!) I don't have a high instep. But these shoes hurt enough over the top of my foot that I have to tie them looser to ease the discomfort when walking. Which, of course, makes my heel want to slip out of the shoe. *Sigh*

Nana Rissy: I love, love this shoe! In fact I bought multiple pairs. I now own 2 pairs of the white, 1 in black, and 1 in the grey, which is more blue than grey. The so called grey ones go very well with jeans. I am a retired teacher, but I walk a lot, especially when traveling to Japan. I bought an extra pair in white so I would have a spare later. These give great support, especially when I walked around Disney Japan for about 12 hours. They are not multicolored as so many athletic shoes are today, but they go well with whatever clothing I choose to wear. You can change them up by using colored shoelaces also. They offer an ample toe box and great support for someone like me who has had foot surgery and both knees replaced. And the laces stay tied! I have had sneakers by Nike, Reebok, Vionic, and Asics where the laces will not stay tied. It is very aggravating!! I really hope this model shoe by New Balance is around for a long time.
