I got book 1 and book 2 for our 10 yr old daughter and she has enjoyed them so much. She read each in one day! I have not seen her so excited to read in a while. Will be buying the next books in the series as well. If anyone with younger kids wants to know, there is some mild violence in parts- I have not read the book but asked my daughter and she said it was not a big deal and it did not bother her. If your kid has seen movies like Jurassic Park, then they'll be fine. I'm guessing it's about the same as that. The illustrations are awesome and so is the story.

My daughter has begun to read the series both in Italian and in English and is enchanted by these books. We read together. I must say I am impressed by certain details in depicting the characters, I definitely think it's a good reading for dragon lovers but I would suggest to give it a try if you are looking for a book that will make your child a reader. Suggested and approved!
