So, I read a lot if the critique on here about this fake grass patch, and it's definitely not absorbent and I can see how that would lead to it being really stinky. It's also fake grass, so it doesn't smell like outdoors, and your dog knows that, but what I like to do is scatter wood pellet cat litter under the grass in the plastic tray that catches the pee, and it helps on all fronts fantastically. It doesn't smell bad, it helps absorb a lot, and it smells more like the outdoors but looks and feels like grass instead of wood pellets. The clean up is a pain, but definitely works better at potty training!
