Wenzel 8-Person Klondike Tent - Perfect for Family Camping Trips

DeVon ByrdDeVon Byrd: It's a nice tent for the price if you are looking for a large tent with a porch. I had an issue with a pole shattering on my first outing with it, but the company stands behind the product and in less than a week they had sent me a replacement pole. I did have to so a tent-stake-duck-tape repair, but A+ for customer service. Set up was rather easy by myself the first time out, so that is a plus. I haven't had it in the rain and quite frankly I'm skeptical about it's weather proofing. The design leaves too much door and windows exposed and the rain fly is minimalistic. It is roomy though, and while it should sleep 8, it would be crowed habitation at about 4 people. Heaven forbid 8 people were trapped in side during a rain storm. It's not the best looking tent due to the windows being sort of warped and uneven. From a distance it looks cheap. As far as quality, I didn't have any issues other than the tent pole, but again, it is simplistic or minimalistic in amenities. There are a couple of storage pouches but no power access built in and I had the extension cord running through the door. Zippers were fine. It took a little bit to figure out how to store the window...

Mama: Simple design, fantastic quality and tons of room and windows if needed. Watch the zipper flaps(covers) they want to get caught in the zipper until it’s more broke in. Would buy again….but I’m sure I won’t have to for many years!!

MayoMayo: Our first use of this tent was for a week long stay at a Lake. It's just small enough for most standard size tent pads, but you'll most likely go outside your tent pad with the tie outs, unless it's a larger tent pad. Most people say there's a "ripple" on the side of their tents after staking, but I didn't have that issue. Once I got all points staked and tied nice n tight, everything stayed up nicely n looked great. Setup was easy for the most part, especially with more than one person. Between the winds off the lake daily, and the heavy storm in the middle of the week I was a bit worried about the durability but everything held up perfectly. Overall the interior has plenty of space for most small families, air mattresses included. There were three of us, 2 adults and 1 child(10yrs old), plus one medium sized dog(Foxhound). We had a Queen Size and a Twin Size Air Matress in the "Cabin" of the Tent, 2 to 3 larger size folding Camp Chairs, 1 smaller size folding Camp Chair, and a small area for the Dog, along with a couple Storage Totes in the "Porch" of the Tent. The floor of the Tent is a "Bathtub" style floor and is made of a Tarp-like material so it's both...

Andrey Verdugo: La usé en la playa, tiene muy buena ventilación, además prácticamente no entran mosquitos ni arena a la parte de la recámara (la posterior). Es muy recomendable mantener cerrada la puerta interior y solo usar la parte frontal para estar con sillas y disfrutando de la vista sin mosquitos. Las ventanas son excelentes muy amplias y se pueden cerrar para evitar el frío y el viento.

El armado realmente es fácil, una sola persona lo puede hacer, pero es mejor que sea entre dos. El tiempo de armado es de unos 15 minutos pero depende de la habilidad de cada persona.

Algo importante es que la tienda realmente se disfruta, pasamos mucho tiempo dentro de ella gracias a su altura y su parte frontal. Otras tiendas solo son para dormir y cambiar de ropa pero esta es para disfrutar de diversas actividades en su interior, incluso con amigos tomando un café jugando cartas entre otras actividades.

Recomiendo que se use con dos colchones dobles (matrimoniales) en la parte interna y dejar la parte frontal para sillas y una mesa, pero si colocan un colchón tendrán una habitación adicional.

Chevy N.Chevy N.: This is the nicest tent I have ever owned. It was perfect for camping and the screened in porch was sweet. The zipper broke so be careful zipping and unzipping it and always check for faulty zippers. By the way Amazon will take care of you if anything faulty may happen with the tent. The tent is not pulled tight and a little loose in some places but the color is great the windows are nice except for no back window so if you are camping next to the beach or on a cliff turn it to the side or have the screened in porch facing that way so you can be in your warm tent and see the view. Also it did rain really hard and the wind was blowing when we went camping at the beach and there was no leaking at all! It was great and it does not get too hot during the day either because the next day it was really hot so we just took the rain fly off and because of the great ventilation this tent has it was awesome for taking a nap. Also one thing I love about this tent is that the screened in porch zips up completely so when it does rain it is not a muddy mess and your stuff does not get wet.
