I have been suffering insomnia/ sleep issues for over 20 years. This blanket helps! And it’s beautiful and comfortable. JA: I read too many reviews, I’m that person!!! So trying to find the perfect weighted blanket for my 8 year old son was so stressful to me. He sweats so easily, is sensitive to fabrics and textures, and has sensory processing issues. I wanted something to help him fall asleep faster because bedtime was taking hours, and he was so anxious that he couldn’t fall asleep.

Enter this blanket. I loved that it had a cooling side and a warm side. My son flips it over all the time for the different textures. He calls it his soft blanket bc oh my gosh it is SO SOFT. The colors are exactly vibrant like the picture. It is not super crinkly like some people have said, only slightly, and not enough to bother him. He’s been sick on it twice so we had to try it out in the wash which I was so nervous about! I have a top loader with no agitator and it washed up BEAUTIFULLY. Both the cover AND the blanket itself. I washed them together in slightly warm water, delicate cycle, hung them up to dry. It does take a good 24 hours to dry so be prepared for that. But none of the beads are out of place and it’s so easy to put it all back together. I tie the bows inside nice and tight with double...

Catprints33: Love the star pattern, minky side is soft, inside cover ties keep blanket in place. Really warm and cozy in winter, a must have if your house takes a lot to heat or you cant afford to heat up or just want to keep It surprisingly did not make me sweaty or overheat while I slept like a temperpedic bed will. I am so glad I didnt get a heavier blanket even though I'm an adult on the autism spectrum. Of course, this is a subjective aspect that might be difficult to know until you try it. This blanket felt like cats laying on or around me, which I do usually have cats sleeping on or around me so that is 1 reason a 15lb blanket would have felt really claustrophobic and trapping for me because it would have been that, PLUS the 2-3 cats that sleep snuggled against me. I dont like having stuff on my feet either so the smaller size was perfect. I uesd a thinner blanket to cover qu. size bed, then put this on top of my upper body. I am only 5'2" so I could still turn it long ways if I wanted to cover more of my feet. This blanket also helps my 10 yr old who is also on the spectrum sleep better. and much more aware of the true benefits of weighted blankets. Especially during periods of stress and high anxiety.. I am now a devout convert.. I also did diligent research of the many options of the blankets available on Amazon. After "weighing" ; ) and comparing several different factors and options.. price, style, ratings and reviews, etc.. I chose and ordered several DIFFERENT top rated and decently priced blankets.. For myself, a few family members and a friend. This blanket is MY FAVORITE!.. and given it's sold out status at higher weights, it would seem this blanket has achieved favorite status by other purchasers as well.
This blanket will NOT disappoint you. It has the whole package.. STYLE, COMFORT, QUALITY, and PRICE POINT!
The only area remaining in question, is that of DURABILTY.. As it has only been in use a short amount of time currently, and therefore naturally, has yet to have it's wonderfully soft, plush, and lovely cover laundered to see how if there might be any issues. Alex B.: The media could not be loaded.  Update: I did end up reaching out to customer service to return and they gave me a full refund but let me keep the blanket. Turns out, the size and feel of the cover became my favorite blanket to lay on the couch with. I got used to the crunchy sound and now I'm buying another for myself, original was for my son. I bought a Pendleton weighted blanket from Costco whose size was completely unwieldy and was even worse at slipping than this one. The worst part of the Pendleton is the ties come off so easily. We have not had that problem with this one.

I'm actually quite surprised by all the rave reviews. The blanket literally feels like weighted plastic. When I grab it I can hear a crunchy sound. I have added a video so you can hopefully see what I mean. We try to use it on the couch and it is constantly sliding down driving me crazy. The only reason why I rated some stars is that I do still get that weighted comfort feeling when I am under it and the star pattern is cute and soft. The other side is some sort of slippery fabric. I'm going to look into returning it.
