Weber Performer Deluxe Charcoal Grill in Copper with Heavy-Duty Cover

Sanora Carswell: WE LOVE THIS GRILL! my husband and I use it all the time, set up was easy and it was perfect for our upper deck space. I'm glad we decided on the copper color instead of the black cover because it looks excellent and levels up our deck area. My father in law has a smaller version and we just had to get one at our new place and I wanted to go with the bigger set up and the investment was worth it and more! Has not disappointed and I do not tell all the work friends about it who are thinking about getting a new grill 👌🏼

Tersen: Frustrating. These used to be quality grills (I've purchased two over the years). This latest one has a leak somehow that consistently drains the coleman fuel, and the thermometer in the lid has condensation that has now impacted it as well. Sad you can't count on the brand anymore.
UPDATE: Warranty was easy to use, and parts came fairly quickly. I did have to install the parts myself (no problem), and they have worked well now for about 6 months. Happy with Weber again.

Steve HoganSteve Hogan: The usual Weber Grill with lots' of features including a propane fire starter. HOWEVER, the third time we used it, the PLASTIC handle on the top vent MELTED. What kind of designer uses a MELTABLE PLATIC HANDLE in a HIGH TEMPERATURE APPLICATION?

Of course, it cooled enough when I opened the top so that THE PLASTIC IS NOW STUCK TO THE TOP AND THE VENT CANNOT MOVE. The cheaper Weber grills do NOT have this idiotic plastic knob. They are all metal. Some dim wit designer decided that it would look nicer and help to justify the increased price to mod a know onto the metal part. Someone needs to explain the difference between a thermoplastic (such as they used) and a thermoset plastic that will not melt at increased temperatures.

Of course, I am past the return window, so I will have to deal with Weber directly. That should be fun.

EDIT: Bumped this from 1 star to 4 stars. It WAS fun dealing with Weber's warranty service. Called their 800 number and an automated system had me interact with them via SMS. A couple of quick loops and they had a live person call me back. They are sending me a new top via FedEx Air. So 4 stars because of their response.

Linda: Got this in the first week of the lockdown and it has been wonderful. Does takes time to assemble but good instructions. I got this after much research. The gas ignition light up for the charcoal is just a time saver and brilliant. Storage for the coal and the timer is useful. Lots of space underneath for other storage ( cleaning tools etc). Great for direct and Indirect heat. I have had many BBQs over the years but they all end up rusting. This is my first Weber and I am not disappointed. Get the Weber cover too and it fits perfectly and looks smart. Wheels allow easy movement. Think NO further. Highly recommended.

DC: I wanted a Kamado or Green Egg, but after seeing their ridiculous prices, let alone that they are not made in North America, I opted for this Weber and I don't regret it. This system to start the coal is really amazing. Turn a knob, push a button, wait between 6 to 10 minutes, and when you come back you have nice glowing embers.

Well though out. Perfect BBQ? ,No but close.

A rotating grill would fit my bbqing habits.

J. King: Just received and assembled so I haven't cooked on it yet, but I don't need to before writing the review because a Weber Kettle was my first grill more than 30 years ago and I can tell from assembling it that the heart and soul are still the same. Product arrived with box in nearly pristine condition, but it probably wouldn't have mattered because it was packed SO WELL. Now, for assembly, I prepared myself for the usual grind of poor instructions and ill-fitting parts that I've grown used to in other grills since I got too "sophisticated" for a kettle. Boy, was I surprised! Assembly was simple, straight forward and I could've almost done it without the instructions. Only criticism I have to offer is two open-end wrenches are called for, but no sizes are given in the instructions. How hard would it have been to include the size? I still don't know because I just chose to go with a pair of pliers instead, which worked fine.

I look at this grill and I see all of the simplicity and reliability of the original, with almost all of the improvements I could ask for:
Great ash collection system
Improved holder for the lid
Great work surface
Gas start option
Built in...
