Edited: At three months, the Y-Axis tensioner broke. I emailed Voxelab support and had a reply within 15 minutes assuring me they would correct the issue (if it is under warranty).
This is for the Aquila PRO. I'm new to 3d printing. This is actually my second printer, my first (another brand) was junk. I've been using this printer for over a month now, and it worked great right out of the box (okay, after some assembly). The assembly was very easy and setup only too a few minutes. Some learning on my part and I'm making good prints.
After sale support is critical on any item. After a month the auto Z-leveling sensor stopped working. The sensor would not move into place, I thought the servo died. After a few emails with Aquila they sorted out the issue and got it working properly. Their response was very fast!
Some people complain about the Voxelab software, but after working with Cura I found the Voxelab easy to use and have had no issues with it. It's very easy to use.
If you are undecided, I strongly suggest this printer. If you like to tweak, adjust and upgrade then I don't think this is your machine. It works very well as is, which...

I liked it so far. However, the customer service of Voelab did not answer my inquiries, and I got some hard times to find it out on the web. Very straightforward to install and operate. need some time to get used to it. Try to avoid the "H" Chip though on their MB.
It has a very loud cooling fan that can be replaced with another extra quiet one.

What is the number one reason to get this printer? Well, there are actually 3 great reasons!
1. Great price for fully functional printer right out of the box (just need to level bed first)
2. Excellent print results (no matter how many features, the quality of the printed object is most important)
3. Thorough step-by-step how-to guides online for this printer (more on this in a bit)
The X2 model addresses the very few issues with the original model. I think there are many "under the hood" upgrades on the X2, but the obvious ones are -
- inclusion of a filament run-out sensor (will pause the print job until you refill the filament) which can be a life saver should filament run out after many hours of printing
- improved extruder mechanism
- metal carry handle on top of printer
- vertical mount of control panel, a more compact fit and more along the lines of the Ender 3 V2 series, but closer in to provide an even smaller overall footprint.
I did over a weeks worth of intense research on buying my first 3D printer, the Prusa i3 was recommended by many, but it is expensive (almost 5 times the price of the Aquila...

When you consider the price, it's pretty amazing. The print results is just as good as the more expensive ones. However, the reason why it's so affordable, compared to other expensive ones, is that it will take you more time and effort to build out of the box. You really have to invest your time/effort.
Another thing is that it's kind of like a manual car/versus automatic (costs more); it can be more difficult when it comes to things like correct leveling because it doesn't have auto-leveling feature, etc.
So bargain price comes at the cost of more difficulty. But if you're on a budget or like building things, it can be a fun, but a challenging weekend project.
If your auto-home isn't working or nozzle isn't moving, etc, it's most likely user-error; I can't stress enough how IMPORTANT it is to LEVEL correctly with a piece of...
