Runningmum: My 9 and 12 yr old boys bought this to have a cotton candy business. It has been great so far. We used it at a children’s market running it for probably two hours. When you unscrew the metal piece where the floss comes out to clean it, make sure you tighten the screws well when you replace it or the floss will come out chunky or stringy and not nice and fluffy.

Eve L.: I was nervous how it would go. We made cotton candy for over 50 kids and it help up great! Once you put the candy in it shoots it out almost instantly you have to be ready for that! It was so fast!! Made a lot per scoop too! Quite easy to set up and clean up too.

Kathleen Payne: I disliked that the sugar flys out of the holder without being “flossed”. Some does floss but certainly not all of it. I am wasting 3/4 of the sugar.

Jeramie Jenkins: The media could not be loaded. Works just like a commercial cotton candy machine. The only difference is the floss shoots straight up in the air, however, once you figure that out, it is extremely easy to use. We’ve tried different hard candies and are quite happy with this cotton candy machine.

Chrissy: I am not sure if the motor on my machine just gets too hot or what. I followed the directions and let it warm up and I put the scooper with the flavored candy floss in the middle and without delay it started spewing out cotton candy string (so fast it was wrapping to my arm before I could remove my hand to put the stick in) and flinging the sugar onto the bowl. In the directions it says it can take 30 seconds but I literally get an entire ball of cotton candy in 15 seconds. I feel like 1/4 of the sugar I pour in doesn’t even turn to cotton candy, rather a hard ring of sugar around the bowl. I can get one decent size stick of cotton candy out of a scoop and have to pour in another. I mean, the cotton candy tastes delicious, I ordered 10 flavors. The positives are it is SO easy to setup, the cleanup is easy because I have a basin sink (if I didn’t it would have been more difficult). I also bought the bubble top which kind of helps with the floating cotton candy in the room- couldn’t imagine how bad it would be without it -probably an ant colony’s fantasy lol. I’ll see how it goes, have used it 3 times now- fast but messy.

Koplin: Prompt delivery even here in Alaska, easy setup. I have been using it for the last several days pretty hard to get a feel for it. Planned use is for fundraising events, parties etc. At first I considered a machine with a temperature knob and more expensive devices. Turns out this device has a thermal switch that keeps the head at the same temperature so there doesn't appear to be a need for heat control. The device has a number of safety features I was surprised to see on a machine in at this price point.
1) Grounded
2) Safety switch on one of the bowl hold down catches that prevents machine from powering on at all should the bowl not be installed for any reason
3) Shields around the head and motor to prevent debris from entering motor assembly and parts under the head.
Overall very happy, makes floss quickly both from a cold start and just in pure volume. Its designed to toss floss up and in batches. You can use a stick or cone to collect above the head and then transfer to bags if needed. It has about a 2oz spoon with a nice handle that works pretty well, looks like the spot welds on the bowl and spoon will be the first to have issues but that can be addressed....
