StaceyStacey: These boards are pretty, and they do serve their purpose. However, where the legs attach underneath, the piece was broken on one side. Like other reviews I have noticed since, this seems to be a recurring problem, but we were able to fix it ourselves.

Additionally, do not make the mistake of leaving these outside! Not even on your porch, if there’s any chance they might get damp, as the dew, or any kind of perspiration, will taint the finish. It will cause the varnish to bubble up… Which is kind of a bummer. I just wish they were more a little more rugged for the price.

With all that being said, my boyfriend still enjoys them.

(I did attach pictures, but the lighting wasn’t very good. The bubbles in the varnish appeared from being out overnight once, with a light drizzle)

Chad Aaron: Decent set of 2x4 boards.We had started playing on a relative's set, but on his boards, the legs snapped. I saw that these had the metal legs, and since we play on a concrete pad, thought that would help the durability. So far so good. That's the main plus here.

This was the first set we purchased. The bags are not standard weight, they are much lighter, so we ended up buying another set of regulation bags.

When putting the boards together to carry/store, the metal pegs do not keep the boards together, so be warned.

During play, these boards have a gap between the front lip and the ground. Standard sets of boards touch the ground. These do not, because of the design of the metal legs. We are constantly having to lift the boards to get the bags that land short of the boards and slide underneath. That may or may not affect your enjoyment, depending on his frequently your players miss the boards.

Chris G: I was somewhat disappointed that, like some reviewers, I received the package in rough shape and with some damage. I dealt with it, as I didn't want to take a chance with a new delivery. The packaging was so poor that I could only assume that the next set would be as bad, or maybe worse had I elected to ship it back. I glued and screwed together the damaged pieces and I feel that it is better than original, as the spring-loaded pins that hold the two pieces together during transportation can add stress to the frame that would cause the sides to fracture over time.
The game is so great looking, I couldn't find one that was as upscale looking anywhere else. The beanbags have a powder of sorts that keeps the playing surface perfect during play. The bags are very durable and the whole game is really nice looking when assembled. The metal, tubular legs are full length front to back, making it very stable on sand, vs a fold-out 'kickstand' style leg that simply sinks into the sand. A word of caution: don't allow the game to get wet, or even leave it out overnight as any moisture will almost immediately delaminate the surface. Keep it dry and the game will serve you well for years to...

Jim&Ang H.: WE LOVE THIS CORNHOLE SET! It's very sleek and well-made. I love that the base is so sturdy, yet it is also removable for easy transportation. Other cornhole sets I've had in the past had legs that flipped down from the top that were easy to knock over and sometimes would just break off. You could SIT on these ones and I'm confident they would hold up. The bags are also a cut above other bean bags that come in a set. In the past I've had to buy separate bags because they're either too small or cheaply made. I might still buy a different set of bags for this one, but only because I have a hard time differentiating between the light teal and the light blue. This set is easy to put away - it comes with clips on the underside of each board that you can attach the legs to when you're done playing and a pouch on the underside to store the bean bags. Each board has a handle for easy carrying and you can put them flush back-to-back to carry it as one item. My only complaint is that the materials are so top-of-the-line that it's HEAVY.

Chris T.: Don't usually write reviews but felt it was important to note for others. Many reviews mention damage and other potential shipping issues. While I didn't suffer damage to any part of the boards that are visible, I mirror another review about the area the pins go into; "Has alignment pins for nesting and I suppose during shipping the package shifted and the board split where the pins fit into the other board." I had this same issue and after breaking out the wood glue and wood clamps I was able to fix it no problem.

The biggest issue I have is with the plastic "feet" that connect into the holes in the metal legs. These feet have pins on the underside that slide into the hole and it appears that possibly with shifting during shipping most of these broke off. The feet still function, but they don't stay put so they have to be managed. I will be looking to see if I can get replacements.

Finally it may be important to note that while these are heavy to carry on their own (I wouldn't want to lug these a long distance on the beach for example) another potential issue is getting the legs set into the bottom of the board. They have to be "stretched" and can be a bit difficult...
