Mdelrio: Key points: Works well to help tame a dry, wild beard. Prevents itching, increases softness, helps manage flyaway hairs. Doesn’t have classic Bay Rum smell, but still smells great.
Being an old Goth since the late 1980’s, I’m very into fragrances from oils. Especially the ones that have a Victorian feel, I would classify this beard oil as that. I was hoping for a classic Bay Rum fragrance. Instead it’s more slightly sweet and earthy, with a touch of floral. Even though it doesn’t have that Bay Rum spiciness it’s still smells great. Performance wise it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Like everything else don’t apply too much at once. Add a little bit at a time until you have full coverage.

Ashley Delvecchio: Excellent product. Been using for a couple of years now. The oils I've used, Gentlemen's Blend and Bay Rum, both consistently play nice with my face hair and skin, which others I've used previously did not. GBS oils and balms have always left my beard soft with a lovely sheen and excess oil remaining after application hasn't picked up weird dust or fuzzies leaving my beard feeling clean, soft, and fresh.

The great scents are very pleasant, very present, but not overwhelming.

Great stuff, and thoroughly recommended products. May not be for every face hair, so start with one of the smaller bottles, run through it and see how your skin and beard fare. It's perfect for me and might be for you or your favorite man-friend in your life.

Tom: bought the Bourbon / Sandalwood scent... my wife tells me all the time she loves the smell and says it makes my beard nice n soft😁. Last night we were meeting a friend of hers at the bar, before we headed out, she asked if I used my beard oil. I said Yeah, Why, do I need to smell good for her too?😅
just ordered another bottle with the beard balm too.
Ive used other brand oils in the past, she never once complimented it. I think I am loayal to Grave Before Shave from here on out..

Max: Scent: I love the smell of this beard oil, it’s the best out of all the ones I have. I have Every Man Jack Sandalwood, Beard Octane cold start and Dr.nicks amazing man stuff #7, and this beard oil smells the best imo. I am a big fan of woodsy (non cologne) scents and this one is amazing.

Feel in beard/on skin under beard: Feels great in my beard. It’s a thin oil rather than thick, so I do need to use a little bit more than some others but I vastly prefer a thin oil anyway. Thick makes my beard feel too greasy no matter how much I use, so this one is perfect for me in this regard. It also makes the skin underneath my beard feel hydrated and clean, so it works well.

Duration: The scent lasts for most of the day. It’s not obnoxious at all, it’s very subtle but I can definitely smell it when I try to. It isn’t strong like cologne which is good for me as I hate that, don’t want a headache from a strong smell all day. It’s just a subtle woodsy scent that lasts a while, exactly what I was looking for.

Ingredients: It’s as it says, all natural. Lots of great oils in there like Argan oil and Jojoba oil. Not much to say here, the ingredients are good....

MP: Pour l'entretien de ma barbe, j'ai déjà testé pas loin d'une quinzaine d'huiles de barbe (dont 3 de chez GBS, une nivea, gillette, proraso, "au poil", "bull dog", golden skull ...). Je commence à pouvoir faire de belles comparaisons. J'avais déjà acheté la "Bay Rum" de la marque GBS et j'avoue qu'elle me plaît énormément. Au vu de la qualité du produit et des fragrances très agréables, je me suis donc laissé tenter par la "Bourbon Scent".

Premier point : j'avais commandé le jeudi soir pour la fête des pères le dimanche ... un peu short non ?? Ben, non car elle est arrivée samedi matin ! Le packaging minimaliste : une petite enveloppe cartonnée et dedans les 2 huiles de barbe (j'ai également pris caramel mocha ...) emballée dans un papier bulle vert et un petit mot de l'expéditeur (écrit à la main : un "merci" avec mon prénom). On a donc une petite fiole avec sa pipette pour doser et c'est la plus pratique et robuste de toutes celles que j'ai essayées.

Ensuite, vient le test. Comme toutes les huiles GBS, je trouve que la texture est vraiment agréable. L'huile est assez claire (jaune pâle) et assez liquide mais elle ne graisse pas les mains...

MP: Je suis assez récent dans le monde des barbus et j'ai une barbe qui est très raide et de taille assez courte (10 à 12 mm actuellement). J'ai donc passé quelques semaines un peu difficiles avec un poil très raide qui gratte et fragilise la peau. J'ai donc cherché de l'huile à barbe afin de limiter ce problème.

J'avais commencé par acheter un produit ici même, de marque française mais malheureusement, l'odeur ne convenait absolument pas. Trop proche d'eaux de toilette de supermarché (type brut de fabergé). Pourtant, le produit semblait de qualité.

J'ai donc lu pas mal d'avis sur le net et je suis tombé sur les produits GBS (Grave Before Shave). Les huiles sélectionnées sont de qualité, ce qui permet de se placer dans un segment "haut de gamme". De plus, la marque commercialise 12 fragrances très particulières qui sont réputées pour être extrêmement agréables. Qu'en est-t-il vraiment ?

Première chose, le paquet est arrivé quelques jours en avance, ce qui est toujours agréable mais la livraison était annoncée en plus de 10 jours (donc ce n'est pas miraculeux). Petit point gênant aux entournures : mon colis est parti d'Italie pour...
