Vegan Frozen Gardein Meatless Plant-Based Chickn Strips - 10 oz

Smella: I've been on some spectrum of vegetarian to mostly meatless to full vegan for like 20 years. I've tried my share of meat replacements, and I think Gardein is still the best when it come to chicken replacements. The problem I've identified with other brands is that all of them make tons of nuggets which are breaded and fried. This doesn't work out so great when you're trying to sautee, fry, bake a meat replacement into a larger recipe where chicken would normally be used. Gardein Chik'n strips are pretty much the only game in town for actually cooking with this stuff. For that reason, apparently - these are frequently out of stock on amazon fresh. And they are hard to find at stores in person as well. I give 5-stars to the product itself. But what are those stars worth if you can never get your hands on them. And finally, even in 2022 it appears the price of these has not changed much - sitting right below $5 per 10oz package. They are a good deal when considering the competition. That's a much better price than, say Beyond Meat (which doesn't even have a corresponding chicken type product) - most of Beyond's offerings are literally double the price of Gardein or more. Laura: This kind marinates so well, I add them to pad thai, stews, pasta, etc. they soak up flavor really well, stays juicy and the texture is spot on.

Jasmine: Literally tastes exactly like chicken....but better. No tough grizzle or fatty pieces. Just perfect chicken strips that you can use in any dish you need to add chicken pieces to. Don't know how they do it but they do a great job!

Dorothy WongDorothy Wong: I really enjoyed the “meatballs” from this brand and decided to order some of their other products. I cooked these using the air fryer as well as sautéing on a pan. The latter is my favorite as it gives it a nice crisp. These taste really good! I really enjoy using them with pasta (see photo). Super easy meal if you sauté these and some onions then throw in some pasta, sauce, and cheese. Will definitely reorder!
