I initially found this product to be a great value for sprouted almonds, so much so that I order it almost every month. However this last bag has been a complete disappointment! Out of each handful, I have to discard 1/3 or more because they are shriveled (possibly over dried?), at times too hard to eat, but more importantly, just taste bad!! I can handle variations in texture, but many are simply inedible. I hope it's just a blip in QA and the original quality will return.

The quality of this almond is actually better than what I used to purchase at WholeFoods, organic sprouted almonds, which is 4 times more expensive at least and also, other packaged ones I've purchased at either WholeFoods or through online. I just have to wonder why the price is so cheap since it says product of USA, while not specifically stating California almonds. Since California grows 80% of the US almonds, I just hope for the best. Anyway, the almonds are so fresh, crispy and easy to chew and flavorful that they make me forget all my worries and doubts about the origin, pesticides, etc. , each time I grab a handful. I had ordered 3 packages more as soon as I tried the first one, but today I see the price went down even further. Maybe I should get 3 more while they are fresh.

Like the texture, nice and crispy, almost like pepitas. No heat though, taste like paprika almonds not Chili.

I had to see what all the fuss was about.
