Anngee1119Anngee1119: To be honest, for the price I was expecting a much larger container. Yes I read the description but didn’t actively think about how small of an amount 6.7 ounces is. Yes that’s on me. But to get this tiny container in the package for $45 had me immediately go to return it for a refund. However, I guess since it’s technically food, it’s not returnable. Understandable. I’ll just chalk this up as an important lesson in reading the description better. But upon opening and seeing that the already tiny container is not even halfway full? That’s just adding insult to injury. Yes I understand that 6.7 ounces is 6.7 ounces and that settling takes place in shipping. Ugh. It’s just a slap in the face of how much product you actually get compared to the price. I will NOT be making this mistake again.

Edit: this review was posted before I tried the product. After actually adding it to my morning coffee, I can fully say that it tastes awful. I’m very sensitive to artificial sweeteners and this product is recommended as one scoop = full serving. Heidi H: Update - While I stand by my review of the vanilla flavor, Perfect Keto offered a full refund on the purchase which I'll use to buy salted caramel, my favorite flavor & sweetness. Added 2 stars for awesome customer service.

As someone that's been living the keto life for quite a while now, the vanilla flavor is so far overboard on the sweetness that I couldn't finish the coffee I'd added it to. The salted caramel is perfect so this was totally unexpected and a shame and makes me hesitant to try the chocolate flavor that I bought as well. If you're new to keto / low carb and still have a sweet tooth this might work for you but I'd be cautious if your tastebuds are already adjusted to no sugar.

Sarah: Definitely need a toliet don’t take this and drive somewhere for an hour.

So I started keto last month I’m like on week 3 now and I’ve been in light ketosis this entire time which is apparently normal since I just started this diet. Aside from that I started with this product this week. I took 1/4 of the scoop about and upped it daily so today I took a full scoop. I didn’t see a lot of changes on my test strips and my bowel movements so I was like whatever. After today I finally moved into moderate ketosis which I haven’t obtained yet so this definitely works in that regard. I’m not an expert in keto so I don’t know if this is something that is showing up as a false reading or what but I have lost about 8 pounds from this diet so far. I am pretty sure about 4 of those were strictly water weight though.

I couple this in my morning coffee with an MCT oil from bulletproof. I fast other than this mixture for 16 hours as well. I also still drink alcohol (3 -5 drinks if I’m out or whatever which is now like once a week since I’m a light weight) which I know can mess with ketosis but like I’m not going to be a hermit just to get skinny. Deborah Luneau: I received my product yesterday and have taken 2 doses so far- 1/2 scoop yesterday and 1 full scoop today. So here's my initial thoughts:

TASTE: Tastes pretty decent, no different than a "low-carb" protein drink. I agree with a previous reviewer that it's much better if mixed with heavy cream or maybe coconut milk. I bet it would be downright sinful with the SF chocolate syrup that one reviewer mentioned.

KETONE READINGS: Definitely makes your ketone sticks read moderate-high for about an hour after use, but I'm wondering if that's really a good thing? Wouldn't you want the ketone bodies to hang around for a bit instead of urinating it all out?

EFFECTS: HIGHLY recommend starting with a 1/2 scoop and staying there for a while before moving up to a full scoop if you aren't accustomed to using exogenous ketones. GI distress will likely occur. I haven't noticed a surge in energy or mind focus just yet, but it's only my second dose of the product so time will tell.
