Ron: The author covers the basics of learning as well as other issues that contribute to or take away from the learning process. I'm glad I picked this book and will continue to use it as a reference!

Amazon Customer: This author gets down to the practical business of optimized learning with sufficient examples but not a lot of fluff. I will apply many of these principles in a disciplined approach to my current quest of learning a musical instrument, and I expect a significant improvement in my results.

Kayla West: This is a good starting point for some tips, tricks, and inspiration to start you on the path to learning that new skill that's been niggling in the back of your mind for awhile. Everything in this book is fairly common sense and is easily accessible to anyone motivated enough. As I read through I had a lot of moments of " Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense" and "I can definitely do that."

Kindle Customer: Designing the workspace could have been improved as well as construction of goals but these are found in other books dedicated to these topics. The book has an abundance of repetition which is artfully created. It is something that I personally don't need as I take notes on books like these. I find this a bit annoying actually because I think this is where work environment and the like could have been enhanced.

susiekoala: Like many people, I have a few short inspirational quotes that I refer to during one of life's challenges. But they are just that: short. In this book, Peter explains if you really want to change your life by acquiring a new skill you need to learn HOW to learn. This was not not taught to you in school. He sites several methods and examples, making it easy to follow the experts' thinking. He gives you the road map and what you realistically need to do to keep driving ahead. Learning isn't easy, but now I see how my brain works. I plan to apply the methods in this book to learning my next vocation. I will stay curious and keep working hard, but more smartly after having read this book
In all honesty, I was going to only give the book 4 stars, but then I remembered how much the brain needs repetition to remember and I got what he was doing.

richard: Almost all the advice given by the book could be found on internet, at that is the conclusion I came to, no real strategy, although I concur or at least I already new what is said in the book.
I didn't really learn something new as compared to the amount of time I dedicate to reading it.
But this could work for you maybe.
The choice is up to you.
For me I'm interested in real advanced techniques of learning.
