Rylie: As a 20 something year old, I knew I should be in the pain I was. I had bad digestive issues, major heart burn, and stubborn acne that would not go away. I was tired of the doctor telling me I needed medicine for heartburn or my acne. I bought this book because I wanted to find a way to heal through food. This book has great information and really helped me understand how food affects my body. I am 4 weeks in to the elimn8 diet and I feel so much better. No more heart burn, no digestive problems, and my acne is going away. I will say that I don’t use the recipes suggested in the book. They take too much time and aren’t foods that I enjoy. It is not easy to follow this diet and it requires a lot of prep, research for recipes you can eat, and cooking. It is totally worth it though! I am so grateful for this book because I feel so much better and feel like I enjoy life more.

En aquella época tenía asma, me costaba mucho respirar e incluso me tuve que tomar un anti inflamatorio para los pulmones que tenía graves efectos secundarios.

El 19 de febrero de 2021 comencé una dieta sin alimentos inflamatorios y he sido disciplinado y la sigo hasta hoy.

Ya no tengo asma, estoy cada vez más fuerte, corro 4 kilómetros en 26 minutos y este invierno/otoño no he pillado ni un solo catarro.

Desayuno coles de Bruselas con guisantes al vapor y como brócoli al vapor con salmón, merluza, sardinas, bacalao, calamares, etc...

Lo acompaño con 2 cucharadas soperas de aceite de coco, 1 en la mañana y otra en la comida.

Y luego ayuno intermitente 18-6 ó 20-4.

He vuelto a nacer.

Se acabó comer basura.

Mucha gente me pregunta de donde saco fuerza de voluntad para no comer nunca pan, pizza, pasta, patatas, lácteos, embutidos, solanáceas, bollos, galletas, chocolate, cereales, legumbres, carne roja....

Marlene A Hibbard: This book has changed my life. I started in Feb. 2021 on the Elimin8 protocol. Even though I wasn't always perfectly following every day I lost 13 pounds and that's not all. Most of my inflammation must have been in my feet which didn't look that swollen but I went down two shoe sizes. My belly is always distended buy now I don't have children asking me if I'm going to have a baby. Pain in my joints and back have greatly diminished. Only come when I go off my protocol, which I intend to stay with for the rest of my life.
This author has made the plan as simple as possible, never in a demanding manner. It's not that difficult to follow. If you work outside the home so I was very grateful for the recipes (a whole chapter of recipes) to help you make quick decisions on having meals prepared without a lot of time for being creative.

James Nock: Words can’t describe how life changing this book has been. I’d been struggling for over a year with stomach pain and cramps etc. and the doctor’s blood tests etc. all suggested there was ‘nothing wrong’. There definitely was! To cut a long story short, I got this book hoping to fix my problems. It was incredibly easy to understand and implement. My pains are gone and I lost 25kg in less than 3 months as an accidental bi-product! I now have a ‘normal’ BMI score as a result.

I’d recommend this book (and have been) to just about anyone who is having digestive/gut/bowel issues.

Kevin Amatt: I tried this book earlier this year. After two weeks all my problems disappeared. I had a head start because I’d been on Keto for 12 months. But I was always hungry, as I didn’t know what to eat. Now I’m reading the book in detail. I’ve bought about all the supplements to make the medical smoothies (around thirty). And eating organic food. Not much change this time, even after four weeks. Probably because during the summer I ate all the wrong things: Cakes, Biscuits, Chocolate and ice cream etc. So it will take longer to heal my gut.
I strongly recommend this book because I know how it changed me. It was great living without anxiety for the first time in my life.
You can even have a video talk with the author, $750.

SynG: I believe in the overall message in this book. You are what you eat. Change your diet, change your health. I had given up wheat/dairy/sugar a few years ago but slipped into bad habits again recently with a job change/busy lifestyle. My health had improved enormously whilst I had cut these things out but I still had some symptoms like bloating and fatigue. So knowing, I had to once again make changes, I thought this book might provide some ideas on what to eat if I were to cut out things like brown rice/lentils/beans; staples of my diet when I was eating healthy. I was very disappointed that the book very much encourages meat. Having not eaten meat for many years, this is a big no for me. The author does suggest to carry on eating lentils/beans etc which doesn’t provide a solution for any non meat eaters who want to do the 8 week elimination diet. So disappointing and a waste of money for me but a good book for anyone who does eat meat and wants to make healthy changes.

Tara C Haidze: Absolutely love this book! Inflammation and chronic illness are so prevalent today. More so than ever. There are a number of contributing factors to this and Dr. Cole lays them out clear and concise manner. I love what he says about some of us are so used to feeling badly that we don't even know there's an option. The truth of the matter is feeling better takes some commitment and isn't an overnight process and Dr. Cole lays out a plan so nicely of how to figure out what foods are and are not working for you. You take an eye opening quiz and then your plan is laid out for you. Yes it is an elimination diet, but he spells out why these foods can be problematic and then once you go through the process, there is guidance on how to reintroduce the foods to see how you feel. There is prep guidance and one of my favorite parts of the book is he lays out inflammatory behaviors and environmental triggers as well because these things also profoundly alter our health. He is quite obviously kind and compassionate and his passion comes through in this book. There's plenty of information and science on the "whys", but it's not boring like some health books can be and for recipe lovers there's...
