MK: If you have a hankering to buy this book like I did, you probably won't be disappointed. I made a few recipes, and they came out alright. The recipes are obviously different than most, so fun to try. The measurements are in ounces instead of cups/tablespoons, which is easily converted, but I though it was odd. Anyway, the book is beautiful, not glossy, but well done, and lovely just to look and read through. I bought the dessert one as well, and it is just as much fun, with glossy pages. Recommended for the nerd/movie lover/gamer in all of us.

guff0922: I'm gonna be honest, I didn't get this book for myself but as a present for someone for Xmas. Now all I want to do is keep it and I'm probably going to buy another copy for myself. I can't help but smile and feel the magic from all the movies and adventures these recipes came from. I feel like a kid reading the pages, and I love how they're set up to feel authentic...as if the recipes themselves are magical. Best part is all of the recipes seem easy enough and affordable to make. . . All I can say is BUY THIS BOOK! You really won't regret it.

Ms. Moxy: So I thought this book was really fun and actually bought it for my 4yr old son for his birthday bc he is currently obsessed with wizards, magic, dragons, potions, etc. So for my particular case I wish the recipes were for a wider range of people and not just for adults with more sophisticated palettes (like a magical twist on macaroni and cheese somehow). Also some of the recipes seem a bit chanllenging for the average cook but nothing I don’t feel I can’t take on. My two biggest complaints that really irk me though are that a lot of recipes call for items you have to get at specialty grocery stores and a couple of the recipes called for ingredients without giving the measurements.

Overall the book is an awesome concept and I like how it is written and I wish those two or three recipes lacking measurements could be fixed. But this book is definitely more suited for a magical adult dinner than it is for kids.
