G. WardG. Ward: The most striking thing for me when putting on my new Boreo was how small it was. I have a 59cm circumference head and the M/L size helmet states it fits up to 61cm. I'd challenge that because I have almost no space to play with. Wearing a thin windproof skull cap under the helmet maxes it out for me and is bordering on a slighly over snug fit. The straps are quite thin, certainly thinner than those on my cycling helmet and they are fixed with no adjustment buckle under the ears to fine tune the fit. On me this means the strap cuts into my upper front neck/jaw area. I am constantly trying to pull the strap forward but it will not go. Next, the supplied internal padding is measley. I find the forehead pad to be ok if a little narrow. The crown of your head padding is next to useless, unless you have a very flat top head. It is a ring of thin foam that results in the crown of your head making contact with the polystyrene of the helmet structure. I ended up buying some replacement pads and putting one exactly where the top of my head needs it. I'm tolerating this helmet because it is new to me and I don't wear it everyday but if I find myself doing another mountain expedition that...

schaumschaf: Der Helm selbst ist ok, kaufte ihn als Zweit-Helm.
Leider sind die Halteriemen sehr mühsam zu bedienen, ich habe zum Glück kein Frisurproblem, aber für Leute mit langen Haaren stelle ich es mir noch unpraktischer vor.
Die komplizierte Halterung - wenn sie einmal sitzt - ist dann wieder ok und der Helm wackelt nicht.

Fazit: aufgrund des verbilligten Preises für mich als Zweithelm ok, leider ist das Haltesystem nicht sehr durchdacht und praktisch.

Nathan: Like most people writing review, I luckily have not had to test the protective elements of the helmet yet. However, it's very lightweight, looks pretty good, and has all of the protection ratings that I would need in a helmet for canyoneering. I have friends that have been using this helmet for years with no complaints.

Schnautz: Bought this for spelunking. It’s very light. My skull is 22in, and I thought the S/M fit well. I also tried the M/L, but it felt like I was wearing a bucket and I couldn’t see past the brim.
S/M was the right size for me.

It also cleaned up nice after caving. Headlamp clips worked perfectly. And it’s super lightweight.

No complaints here!

Amazon Customer: Picture of white version of helmet (as of 6/5/22 anyway) distorted and thereby deceptive.

Actual product not nearly as flat/streamlined as it appears in photo but more bulbous and dome-like.

Ah well. this is the chance you take buying online.

Having said that product is very light and reasonably comfortable and different looks-wise (and isn’t it all about looks? – haha) from the black racing-style cycling helmet I've been wearing and will continue to wear alternating with the Petzl depending on mood and outfit choice of the day
