M Dodd: The fireplace screen arrived well ahead of schedule. It's a very nice looking product and the two side brackets were easy to install. It looks like a well made item and it should last a long time.

StuffAndyMakes: The screen is affordable, not super-classy, but nice and it works great. The styling isn't amazing, but it's contemporary and clean. It's kinda typical of Chinese construction (although it might have been designed in the US to be cheap, of course) where the parts are simply bolted on, but there's not a lot of precision, so it could seem flimsy. But, since nobody really messes with it much, it stands in front of our fireplace happily and looks totally OK. Can't complain for the price, really. I dig it.

The first one we received, though, had defects in the screen down the right side. It's like the machine that makes the screens had hiccups and just made a mess of the screen, but welded and powder coated it anyway. :) The sad thing is that someone let that get out of the factory. Someone in quality control clearly was not looking or didn't care that day. Thankfully, Amazon DOES care and quickly sent us a replacement! Love Amazon!
