BuyerBuyer: Melts instantly after a few uses 3 or 4 cleans it's melted and doesnt work cleaning. Complete waste of money. I'm mad and want my money back.

Fred: This is a good product,I would Definitely recommend lt. I have heard of people getting steel bristles caught in their throat or swallowing them and requireing surgery from use of bbq brushes that use steel bristles.

J. McFarland: Works great on a cold grill. Of course it's nylon and listed as such. Much safer than metal brushes that can break off and end up in food. People read what you are buying! Anyone saying it's melting is not using it as designed.

What I do after grilling is turn grill up to high for 5 minutes to burn off oils and debris. Turn grill off and come back next day to a cold grill and scrap it down with this nylon brush. Works great and grill ready for next use.

19sixty9bowhunter: Yes, it will melt if you use it over a hot burner. Duh. I'm rating 4 stars because it works "ok" but you can save some money and get a more durable scrub brush. I use a nylon scrub brush on my offset smoker and got this for my Weber gas grill because I thought it might work better and be easier to store. Well, it does store easier/better because you can hang it but the scrub brush works better. NO!!!, it will not clean as well as a wire brush. The whole point is to stay away from wires. Those things are the worst kind of dangerous. At best, they are expensive because you should be throwing them into the trash pretty consistently but I won't even risk it. I used wire for years until i had an incident with them coming out. Glad no one got injured. The first time some kid gets one in their mouth at your next BBQ is a day you'll regret forever. Buy nylon.

Tim: I use it for my new grill. After about 50 usages my grill still looks like new. No leftover food stuck to it. I just us a little bit of water and steam clean my grill.. works great!

Jeff: The bristles on this brush are stiff, and clean well, but you do need to make more passes and use more pressure than a wire brush; this is just the price one pays for having a porcelain grill that cannot be cleaned with a wire brush without ruining the grill. It is nylon/plastic, so one needs to keep in mind that any plastic or nylon brush will melt if applied to a hot grill, but this doesn’t make it any less useful —- at the end of cooking just turn the BBQ up to high for around 15 minutes to burn off excess debris, let the grill cool, and then use the brush to wipe off the residual grey ash. Simple and effective.

6 Rings: First one received I did not realize it was not for use on a hot grill, as was the case with wire brushes we are all accustomed to using... the ad/post does say use on cool surfaces, but they should be more clear that it will get ruined on a hot grill (maybe that statement in all caps in description). With that said, after my first one melted quickly, the company did follow up and sent a replacement to make things right and advised on discontinuing hot grill use. I have since been using on a cool grill and enough time has elapsed to where I can now say this is a nice product.
