Dave: This is a great book on Led Zeppelin. Everything you ever wondered about their songs is in here. Each tune is explained - how and where they came up with them, where they were recorded - everything. It's excellent!

JWH: I have never encountered such an exhaustive and well researched book on Led Zeppelin. I am sure someone. may find an error or two in the 600 pages, but nowhere else can one find such a chronological exploration of the entire catalog in such detail. This is particularly a great book for musicians looking to gain more insight into the songs, instruments, recording techniques and stories behind the tracks. Amazing photos, many of which I have never seen before. Plenty of information regarding the artists that they drew their inspiration from. This one is part of the permanent library. A must have for a serious musician or fan of Led Zeppelin.

J.H. van der Veen: Heerlijk boek voor de ZEP liefhebber. Net als alle andere boeken uit deze serie echt een aanvulling op de collectie. Prachtige verhalen en goed gedocumenteerd.
Let op want eenmaal uitverkocht schieten de prijzen omhoog. Zo is Pink Floyd Compleet en The Beatles Compleet in het Nederlands niet meer te verkrijgen tenzij je diep in de buidel tast.

Ken Wood: As others have mentioned, this book is for those fans who want to dive deeper into how Led Zeppelin's music was created, recorded and produced. Being a guitar and bass player myself, I like how the author explains what equipment LZ were using at the time (Amp info, effects, guitar models, etc) and there are a ton of great photos of the band working in the studio and conquering the masses at live dates. Moreover, you see (in great detail) the EVOLUTION of Led Zeppelin. To quote a Rolling Stone record reviewer, LZ's music possessed a number of unique qualities that the legions of imitator bands could not copy: sublety, idiosyncrasy, and vision. Jimmy Page and company know EXACTLY where they wanted to take their music and they had the perfect manager in Peter Grant to insulate them from record company politics and expectations.
This book will have a prominent place in my little home library....get your copy today!

DACHokie: ALL THE SONGS is a massive resource that details all the songs on every Led Zeppelin album and a handful of other studio recordings. While the gist of this 600 page volume are the songs, it includes a treasure trove of additional information about the band (individually and collectively) that should appeal to most Zep fans.
The official 50th anniversary book of Led Zeppelin was a nicely presented photo album, but not any details in which to sink your teeth. This book should satisfy those who were looking for a more meaty text offering (but, unlike the 50th anniversary book, this volume is not an official Led Zeppelin offering). Full of photos (many of which I've never seen before), this book digs fairly deep in detailing all of the band's songs in an organized format with lots of trivia, commentary and factoids. The only misgiving may be that the actual lyrics to the songs were not provided, BUT specific lyrics of the songs are pulled out and explained.
What I really like about this book is that it is an interesting resource for the Zeppelin song catalog that extends well beyond the basics. I have numerous books on Led Zeppelin, including all of Dave Lewis'...
