British A. Tharpe: It’s a book. The topic and choice of author is subjective to the reader.

Steven M Hug: The Big Lie provides important truths about the two sides now waging a growing political war. These truths have been covered and distorted for many decades. D'Souza exposes only a small aspect of the deceit and damage the Left is promoting. D'Souza gives solutions for Democratic Party controls of U.S. institutions near the end of his book, such as building parallel cultural institutions to compete with the Left’s institutions. While D'Souza notes that Christianity is an enemy of the Left, he does not say that strengthening faith should be one of those solutions. But faith is the fundamental behind all true knowledge. The great weakness of the Left is that it does not put value on the light of Christ. Without that light humanity dwells in darkness. So, the Left is thrashing around spreading lies and disfunction. I don’t say that the Left does not have good intentions, it does. Indeed, the Holy Spirit speaks to their hearts as it does to all mankind – if only they would listen. The Left’s thrust is a return to weakened individual liberty so as to place power in the hands of a few. In short, its simplistic answer is dictatorship of them. Its answer is to extinguish free...

Alex Martinez: This is a fact filled, thoroughly enjoyable read, of a controversial topic which I’m sure many people share but few dare speak out precisely because of the reasons clearly explained in the book by the author. If you are one of those people that look at Antifa behaviour on the news, with their face covered violent and intolerant approach, and wonder “how do these guys call themselves anti-fascists?”, this book is for you. If you suspect there are ideological links between communism, nazism, fascism and modern progressive views, this book is for you. If you’re simply open to a different perspective on what mainstream media incessantly refers to as “fascists”, this book is for you. If you’re Antifa, or have a socialist view of the economy, society and life in general, this book might challenge your views, which is a healthy thing to do, even if you decide to stick to them.

Mario: This book does two things:
- Link the Democratic Party with Fascism: via their shared racism of the past (and of the present in some ways), their views on slavery, abortion and some other things. It shows how many things that the Fascists did were actually inspired by democrats.
- Expose and call out the Big Lie that says that fascists like capitalism, that america is fascist and racist and how the term the Left ditanced itself from fascism after WW2 and how they heavily influenced culture and media.

What this book doesn't do:
- Truly link Fascism with Marxism and left-wing economics. It does indicate that fascists were somehow Marxists but not how they implemented their marxism. And on the economic side, it only really talks about Mussolini, not Hitler.
But thankfully it gives lots of sources to history books that can expand on that idea.

Dinesh writes very clearly and i think that this is a very relevant book for today's america

Richard Kirk: Nazism and fascism are “right wing” movements -- the polar political opposites of socialism. Fascists and Nazis employ appeals to traditional morality to gain support. Progressives deplore fascism and always have. Fascists support capitalism. Trump is a fascist. These are aspects of "The Big Lie" that Dinesh D’Souza exposes in his recently released book.

The absurd claim that fascism and Nazism are not socialist movements owes it origin to the hideous reputations those leftist regimes earned after World War II. How could progressives expect to thrive in America if the Holocaust and other atrocities were linked to its political relatives? Consequently, a gigantic lie was perpetrated by leftist intellectuals and slavishly spread by a sympathetic media -- namely, that fascism was a movement of the “far right” and that conservatives were also on “the right.” This “big lie” has long been a staple of Democrat propaganda and the basis for the absurd notion that President Trump is a fascist -- not his violent, GOP-assassinating, speech-suppressing, “Antifa” opponents

Most conservatives are aware of links between fascism and socialism. After all, the...

N. Dubeski: It is very good, timely, and easy to read. I have read many of the books that D'Souza cites, and his criticism of academic dogma rings true. Now that he mentions it, they were indeed thinly sourced--asserting that because a few American businessmen liked Herbert Spencer and W.G. Sumner that therefore ALL American businessmen supported Social Darwinism. I just have a gripe or two, as I am always looking for little errors. When Mussolini was compared to Roosevelt in the 1920s, that was with Theodore. When he was compared with Roosevelt in the 1930s, that was probably Franklin. As a Canadian, I have additional reasons to agree with D'Souza: the eugenics movement in Canada was always condemned by the Catholic Church--one of the most right-wing institutions of all time. It was trendy in left-wing circles, however. Tommy Douglas, the personable champion of the CCF and NDP wrote his Master's thesis in support of eugenics. In the interest of fairness, there was also feminist Emily Murphy who was probably a Protestant Conservative. For us to terminate the monster of eugenics once and for all, we need to extend D'Souza's investigation to include Canada as well. D'Souza is right that racism...

Steve Hickey, University of Aberdeen: Important book from a minority American who has been persecuted by the Left for exercising his right to free speech. When responsible historians look back on the present contentions in America they will quickly reject the monolithic myth and false narrative that the tensions and confrontations are simply between good people who deplore racism and a violent group of white supremacists. In other words, Trump will be deemed right in there being "many sides, and believe me there are many sides" as he said in his blanket renunciations of all hate and violence in America after Charlottesville. Responsible historians will deem superficial, easy and lazy the common claims in our day that Trump is a fascist and a Hitler. And, D'Souza will be shown correct in his assessment that the growing fascism in America is in fact on the side of the Left at present, not the right. Those truly against fascism will join him in denouncing Antifa, the Black Panthers, CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood and streams within Black Lives Matters who cultivate, calculate, fund and commit acts of violence, and assaults on free speech, civil order and public safety.. As responsible historians today meticulously work...
