Colleen: Our long haired cat has started to decline and not groom himself as much as he used to, but also had problems with hair (hair balls, hair in poop) when he does groom himself. In addition to regular brushing our vet recommended this product and he’s been a lot better since. Our cat definitely did not like the maple flavor but will eat the tuna flavor. It’s a somewhat think gel-ish type product that he will lap out of a bowl.

Sylvie: C'est pour mes chats.
Je pensais que j'aurais reçu 2 tubes, d'après l'image que vous montrer. Je n'aurais pas payé 50$ pour seulement 1 tubes de laxatone.

Karen G.: Other reviewers complained that it was messy trying to give to their cats. They were trying to smear some on the cats nose or paws. I admit that would be messy. I have a small almost flat spoon to put it on and my cat just licks it off the spoon. Purrfect!

Sabine: Product works well for the two of my cats who actually eat it (one of them seems to think it is a treat). I’m a repeat buyer by now. Watch out for pricing though. Someone asked $100 for it the other day.

B. W.: I was skeptical about buying this, but decided to give it a try after cat constantly throwing up hairballs. She LOVES it! Someone else suggested squirting a little bit up at a time from the tube and just let her lick it off. Which she does EAGERLY! That's how I know she likes the flavor. It does seem to help somewhat with the hairball vomiting. Not totally eliminated, but better. I hadn't been giving it to her every day. The directions said a few times a week. Plus I was worried that since this is basically petroleum jelly that it might interfere with nutrient absorption. But after re-reading others reviews about giving it to their cats every day, I may try that to see if it will stop the hairballs all together. Just wish a company would come up with a Cod Liver Oil Paste like this stuff. Then pets could get a two-for-one benefit.

Joy Barton: My one cat has mega colon so is on meds and stool softener, however sometimes he still strains to have a bowel movement. He is a long hair tuxedo and gets groomed every day. This remedy has helped with his bowel movement along with his meds. He detests the taste so I put it on his paw. It is a bit messy but he licks it off. My other two cats like the taste and even though they dont have many hair balls or at all, it is still a good prevention. It is quite pricey for a small tube but with just a dab a couple times a week, it is worth it. However, still important to brush your cat even with this.

JoshJosh: Ordered tuna and got maple. Cat seems to be ok with it though.

Valerie Erwood: Every early afternoon, Dinah wants her "cookies & ice cream" AKA Greenies treats and anti-barf stuff that comes in a tube. Since her favorite brand maker decided to change its formula to one that's so stiff it's a major chore to get it out of the tube, she wouldn't touch it.
Amazon was great and I got my money back, but now I had to find another product that her highness liked. I was pretty nervous when I clicked the order button, but I was not disappointed this time!
Yeah, it's sticky......think molasses in a toothpaste tube. But it has enough tuna flavor to entice her, and she doesn't seem to mind the stickiness. It just keeps her busy for a few minutes, washing up. LOL
Dinah is a Nebelung (a long haired Russian Blue, for those of you unfamiliar) and if I don't give her the "ice cream", she WILL start barfing after a couple days. Sometimes I see little hairs in her poop, so apparently this stuff just makes the hair pass naturally.
Anyway, when Dinah is happy, I'm happy. PLEASE don't change the formula! :)
EDIT 4/9/2023: So I knocked off a star because I hate the thick plastic of the tube. I think the product is about gone already, but it...

helen: I have an older long hair kitty. She has sometimes hard poops so I give her laxatone (one quarter teaspoon )open her mouth and from finger put on upper jaw since she will not lick it.This works and is only needed a few times a week to help with hair balls and aging constipation.Hint (cut hair where cat licks)May not be stylish but less hair ingested when they groom.

Tawnya: I can only base the flavor on how fast my cat will lick it up!! It does seem to help with the throwing up, Received my order in a very timely manner.
