Tuna-Flavored Oral Hairball Lubricant Gel for Cats by Vetoquinol Laxatone

KB in AZ: I’ve used this with multiple cats now. My vet had recommended it many years ago and I keep it in stock. My cats seems to like the flavor, and it definitely does what it needs to do. This is good for my cats but it’s also helpful in keeping them from throwing up hairballs all over my house. In terms of giving it to them, I’ve fed several who will lick it right out of the tube. I have one who will lick it off of my finger. I’ve only had one cat who didn’t voluntarily lick it, but the tube makes it easy to kind of scoop them up, squeeze it in their mouth and let them run away. It’s never been, anything that they’ve thrown up. I’ve just had the one picky cat who just would not voluntarily eat it. Once I got in his mouth though, he swallowed it just fine.

Angela Cooke: Our vet recommended this product for our cat since his stool in the littler box is hard little balls AND he has difficulty getting out hairballs. IF you can get your cat to eat it, it does work BUT I had to start by putting a small dot on his paw so he had to lick it off.

Nacho Lovin' Crazy Cat Lady: My Maine Coon needs hairball gel. I usually get the Maple flavored one but decided she might want a change. She won't eat this one at all. I'll have to go back to the Maple. Its runny but not as runny as the maple flavor. At least my other cat likes this one, but she's short-haired and doesn't need gel. Oh well, live & learn.
