Kimmyb: I bought these and then misplaced them and forgot about them! Recently found them and started using them! Very impressed with them!! I'd been using pre-moistened lens cleaning wipes until now. You don't need any kind of cleaner with these! Just buff the item with the cloth and it will clean it up very nicely, even greasy fingerprints (from using my phone right after putting a thick hand cream on!). If it's not cleaning up just by buffing it with the cloth, I breathe on it and then buff it and it works perfectly! I use the cloths on my reading glasses, my Smartphone and my tablet. I keep one in my purse, the car, in the kitchen, bathroom and my bedroom.... Basically I have them stashed everywhere!! Lol They're very well made and despite being used several times a day, they don't feel like they're getting dirty and they still work just as well as when I first took it out of the package. I definitely recommend these and will repurchase if I ever wear these out!! There's a lot in the package, more than I really needed but then again, it lets me stash them everywhere and I don't have to worry about running out! JJ: The item is not black. It is a dark charcoal with a slight brownish and/or slight purplish tint. Side by side with a black version you can see a difference. In the pictures the one in the plastic to the left or top is this product. For comparison, the one opposite it is an actual black microfiber.
I am using this to match a portable all black handheld gaming system. So, color is important and stands out when it's not really black. And, by this I don't mean scientifically true black, but what we call black in everyday items.
It is being returned as it is not as advertised. But I am sure it works fine as a microfiber cloth, hence not full stars and not one star. Just a waste of my time.
