I received what appears to be the basic because there was no thermometer and the box it shipped in doesn't mention or show a thermometer. Assembly was pretty easy and appears to be well constructed. I have not cooked on it yet but it looks promising.

CDS: Converts my Weber charcoal grill into a pizza oven to make delicious pizzas! What’s not to love? It’s sturdy, and best of all provides easy access to add more wood/charcoal to keep the temperature up if making multiple pies. I used a different brand’s pizza oven converter before this one, and it was a nightmare having to take it apart - while blaring hot - to add more fuel. The charcoal fence is a little flimsy, but it works. The unit is easy enough to assemble. Recommended!

ColinColin: Takes a few times to get used to but this is a great extension to my Weber Charcoal BBQ. This past Covid19 summer was a lot more fun because of this pizza oven. Every Friday night was pizza night.
It took about 40 minutes to get the BBQ hot enough but there is no way a stove / oven or gas BBQ could reach these temperatures. Mine hit 900f
Experimenting with different pizza dough recipes was the most difficult. In the end, use pizza flour or 00. It does make a difference.

ES: I bought this last year and didn't have a chance to set it up and use it until this past weekend. Assembly wasn't bad, but I feel like it could still be easier as this is a pretty simple device. As others have said, the charcoal fence is a joke - the wire is thin, the 4 sides do not really attach/lock well, and during my first use I noticed the walls bowing in trying to hold the charcoal back. This really needs improvement.
As to the rest .. I loaded it up with 10 lbs of charcoal, and cooked 4 smalls pizzas. Going by the thermometer included, I might have gotten up to 700 degrees for a few minutes, but by the time the 4th pizza got in, it had dropped noticeably and the that last pizza took more than twice as long as the first one. There were no instruction I noticed about how to set the top and bottom vents in the grill - I had both of mine full open because I figured more oxygen = hotter flames = more heat.
In terms of cooking, the shortness of the grill (22" standard weber) combined with the relatively small opening and lack of light getting into the kettle for made it seem really hard to see what I was doing or how well the pizza cooked.
Results were OK but...

Jean-Daniel DemersJean-Daniel Demers: With all the other comments and review I was expecting something flimsy that is barely ok. Well that is not what I unboxed! It is well made ( more than descent food grade steel gage) that is sturdy and easy to assemble. First, the pizza stone is made of cordierite witch won't break from 900°f + temp like ceramic stone will... Second the kit is easy to set up and is easy to add charcoal, small wood lug or wood chunk. Third, it fits perfectly in kettle 22.5 ( if you have a performer or a one touch(any 22.5 with lid older) it does not fit perfectly: 2 option, remove the 2 bolts, or cut a notch in the pizza ring) I decided to remove the bolts as I am planning making pizza no more than once a month... Finally, the way this pizza set is design, it will easilly get hight temps 800-900°F without any problem.
Couple cons here, the charcoal fence is made of thin metal ( but it sure can handle high heat) and the temp gage seams off by 100 degrees down ish... ( but who rely on them anyway)
This set will bring your pizza as close as possible to a authentic pizza oven would but for 1/30th of the price
I did not tried the pizzakettle but for half the price, I think this...

Rob B: The build quality on this is very bad, not so bad so that it's not useable but bad enough that you can't use it without having to heavily modify it yourself.
- The main circular piece that the kettle lid sits on it not made from one piece and is prone to warping when it's being stored.
- The built tabs for holding the pizza stone are at a weird angle and also very flimsy.
- The charcoal fence is a joke...it doesn't fit together and is a pain to store. I through it out after the first 30 days.
- The front opening on the kettle converter should really have a removable cover so that you can keep the heat in. I'm planning on building one if I'm still using this in the future.
- This design doesn't have a heat diffuser in it and the pizza stone is so high up away from the fire. The stone itself doesn't get that warm.
The better way to use this would be to have an even fire underneath a diffuser mounted in this grill and then have a 1"-1.5" air gap between a diffuser and your pizza stone. That's the preferred way of cooking pizza on a kamado grill.
I really wish I would have returned this within the 30 days but it's still usable if your willing to do...

T. Kadrie: We've had our PizzaQue for a few months now, and gotten through 3-4 pizza baking outings.
It's a wonderful concept! Converts a simple sub-$100 22" weber kettle into a nifty pizza oven. Toss in some oak chunks, and you even get wood smoke flavor. (nice!).
At $69 it's also roughly HALF the price of the competing 'KettlePizza Deluxe' product. And it includes everything you need to get rolling: pizza stone, a metal peel (handy for lifting pie's out of the grill; I use another wooden peel for putting them in), and of course the PizzaQue enclosure.
We find that we get best results, following a tip I read some time ago for making Neopolitan-style pizza in your kitchen oven:
1) Sauce and 'top' the ready pizza dough with everything but the cheese (no oil underneath). I do this assembly on a suitable wooden peel, with a good layer of corn meal on the peel to act as ball bearings - crucial point to getting the pie off the peel and on the stone in smoothly.
2) Then put that uncheesed pizza into the "oven" (PizzaQue in this case) and bake it (500-700degr) for five minutes.
3) At five mins, pull the pie (with the thin metal peel that comes with the PizzaQue), and add your...

Johnny BoidowskiJohnny Boidowski: Had mine since 2016….I use it a lot and no problems
Need to keep coal from going under stone, fill two chimney's full of charcoal. Spread from 8 o’clock around to 4 o’clock. None in center. 800-900deg F. Buy a bamboo peel off Amazon and flour (can cornmeal too). And make pizza on that and transfer into kettle. Be careful to keep peel dry so pizza dough will slide off nice. Spin and remove with metal peel. Only use whole milk mozzarella and a good sauce like don pepino. I take a store bought dough and cut in half. Make sure dough hits room temperature and rises before you make.
Had for 7 years and it’s still in good shape and use it close to every week
