Valntyne: I bought the two pack and for the price, I did not get what I was expecting! I have purchased meringue cookies by mail for over a decade. In the past I had purchased exclusively from Miss Meringue's website. I LOVED their cookies, but they went out of business several years ago. I had purchased Trader Joe's before and they were a satisfactory replacement, although a bit pricey. The vanilla flavor is great and does not have that chemical taste so many of the cheaper ones do. They also have a consistently smooth texture. Many of the cheaper ones are gritty. So I splurged and got these.

Now a certain amount of breakage is to be expected when buying delicate cookies by mail, and I was aware of that. However, I was shocked by the breakage I saw when looking through the clear containers after unpacking this shipment. I have only opened one container so far and I think there are maybe 10 cookies that are unbroken! This is NOT the normal, acceptable breakage. They were shipped in their plastic containers, inside a cardboard box, which is typical. While there was no damage to the box at all, there was also no packing material; however I do not think this amount of breakage could be...
