Tea Drinker: Best on hardwood or tile floors. Wear out quickly on rugs, destroyed by any outdoor surface. They come in a 2-pair pack, and I found they worked best when doubled up, one inside another on each glider.

Mom1216Mom1216: These were delivered on the 16th of November. I loved how easy they were to put on BUT I have used them for ONE WEEK and they are totally torn apart. Yes that's a hole right thru the bottom. I have wood floors, a painted concrete garage floor and a outdoor carpet lanai, where I use my walker. Cannot believe that within 3 days one of them had a rip in it. Today, they are totally ruined and unusable. I have a separate walker for outdoor use so I cannot blame it on pavement. The material is just way to thin to withstand sliding across floors.

Biblioholic: I've hardwood floors throughout the house. Most glides for my walker are beaten up by the sidewalk when I go outside. Then they scratch my floor once inside. This has been true for balls as well as the glides that come on the original equipment. The GlideSocks go over the ski-glides when you enter the house, thus protecting the floor from rough patches on the ski glides. I wish I'd known about these when I initially bought the ski-glides, since you can buy them as a package (TuffSki Walker Ski Glides with GlideSocks Covers). Not having seen them, I bought several pairs of ski-glides so as to replace them as they got beaten up, something I no longer have to worry about.
For those who prefer visitors and residents leave their shoes outside, rather than track in dirt, these would also be a help, though I know no way to cover wheels and they can track in more dirt than shoes. (I started with a wheelchair that managed to track dirt within the rehab center!)
So, if you want to protect your floors from scratches (as I do) or dirt, these socks are perfect!
