TOMLYN Pill-Masker: A Delicious Treat for Dogs and Cats to Mask Medication

elizabeth a pound: My GSD hates pills and due to an emergency situation, must now take 9 or 10 pills, every 12 hours. He still hates the pills but the consistency of this product allows me to make one pill package, no lost pills and he will spit it out because I never fed my GSD's bacon, but after a minute (reluctantly) he chews it a bit and swallows. He is a 119 lb import from Germany Lon coat and before using this, I would find a pill or two and was accidently bitten trying to get meds in. Pill pockets hold two pills and he hates them. This makes life so much easier, and i KNOW he is getting all of his meds! Wonderful product! A brilliant idea with the dog getting all meds and 100% easier to give for the Fur mom!

Janners: Yeah, it's OK....my cats will only eat it if have covered it in dreamies so pretty much defeats the purpose when they will eat easypill putty without.
I think the smoky bacon kind of flavour needs be revised and one made for cats and one for dogs.
It's also a pain to get out of the pot as you have to put your finger in an kind of scoop some out ....this results in getting it under your finger nail.
I'd buy it again only if there were a shortage of easypill to be honest.

catlover: Ok so a long story
One of my cats had a mouth injury and is on daily meds anyway so always used a different pill treat because he loved it.
Because of the mouth pain he chewed into it and it obviously hurt so he now refuses to eat them.
So wondering what to put his meds and antibiotics in??
A different pill treat? Nope didn't work
Tinned fish? Nope
Brussels pate? Nope
Lik e lix? Nope
Meat? Nope
Cheeses? Worked for a bit
In his food? Sometimes discovered and spat out.
Now I'm pulling my hair out as the antibiotics were vital.
So back online and thinking what else can I try and then I see this and think ok last ditch attempt with this.
Gave one of my cats a bit and he loved it.
Gave my other cat a bit and she loved it, archie is yet to try a bit too.
So now mojo who I bought it for, so with anticipation I popped a pill in a small amount and??????? HE LOVES IT, YAYYYYY
This product smells just like bacon/barbecue smell and purrfect for putting meds in.
Can't rate this enough and will last months.

OneMum: Two cats - sisters, one would have the pot out of your hands with or without tablets and the other wouldn't give it house room! So I'd definitely try a small bit first before wrapping the tablet in it.

I find a little goes a long way, it only needs to just cover the tablet otherwise I've seen the putty eaten and the tablet left sat to the floor. Its worth lightly rolling it between your fingers to make it pliable first.

As cats are notoriously fussy about what they eat in the first place it really isn't surprising there isn't a one size fits all approach with pill putty/pockets products and I'm not sure I'd beleive it if the reviews were 100% success rate.

It is on the expensive side but I'd say you'll get way way more than the 50 tablets they are suggesting out of it, depending on how your cat behaves. Is it worth it for the once a year worming tablet - probably not. But if you have a cat with a cronic condition that requires daily medication then its definitely worth trying as there is nothing worse than a daily/twice daily fight to get tablets down.

Amazon Customer: I don't usually bother writing reviews but thought this might help other stressed-out cat owners! My cat won't touch this stuff on its own. BUT, if I cover the pill in a very thin layer of the putty and then poke the whole thing into a soft treat like a Webbox stick, he eats it straight down. Putting the pill in the Webbox stick on its own doesn't work, but the putty stops the pill from falling out as the cat chews and seems to stop the cat from biting into the pill and realising it's there. I break the pill in half and put the pieces into fairly small chunks of the stick to minimize chewing.

I've tried 3 other brands of pill putty, but this one smells much stronger, plus the sticky texture and the fact that you can pinch off a tiny amount makes it far superior. It's expensive, but should last for months if it doesn't dry out (my cat needs a daily pill).

It might not work for every cat, but definitely worth a try if your cat needs regular medication.

IrmiBlue: Ich habe einen Kater mit einer Auto-Immunerkrankung, der täglich Medikamente benötigt.
Den Tomlyn Pill-Masker habe ich aus der Not heraus bestellt, da die Greenies Pill Pockets, die ich üblicherweise verwende, nicht verfügbar waren und ich es versäumt habe, rechtzeitig für Nachschub zu sorgen.

Ich habe erst gezögert, den Pill-Masker, der noch nicht viele Bewertungen hat, zu bestellen, aus Sorge, der Kater würde es nicht annehmen. Allerdings hatte ich keine wirkliche Alternative und die Pill Pockets gingen zur Neige, und leider ist mir auch kein geeignetes Leckerli bekannt, in das ich die Tablette für den Kater verstecken kann, ohne dass sie wieder heraus fällt.

Von der Konsistenz ist die Masse zäher und fester als die Pill Pockets. Die Entnahme ist etwas unpraktisch und auch ein wenig unhygienisch, da man mit dem Finger in der Masse pulen muss, um ein Stück abzuzupfen. Das finde ich nicht so gut, vielleicht hätte man die Masse besser als Block geformt, damit man die benötigte Menge abschneiden kann.
Zudem hinterlässt die Masse extrem klebrige Finger.

Cosmos1: I ordered this product because I have 2 cats I need to medicate with pills. Trying to sneak it into their food was becoming more difficult because they knew it was there and said, "Nope." I had used another product that did work pretty well but it contained animal digest and upon doing further research into the product I became suspicious of the ingredients so I stopped using it.

Then I found this on Amazon and figured I had nothing to lose so I ordered it. Bingo! The boys LOVE this stuff! I gave some to the girls just to see if they'd like it (then I could use it for rewards during training) but they didn't care for it at all. But since I bought for the fellas and they love it, I'm thrilled!

I told my vet about it and suggested she start carrying it and she's was pretty receptive to the idea. I think ALL vets should carry this when they prescribe pills/tablets because it's been a real godsend.

It's very easy to use: Since it's a sturdy but pliable paste, you just grab a wee pinch of the stuff, flatten it out in your fingers, stuff the pill in and surround the pill/tablet with the paste. Easy peasy! Hand it over to your cat or dog and he/she will probably...

🐆😺MeoW😸🐆: Makes a much smaller and less likely to fall out pocket since its formed around it

Also for giving my cat 1/4 of a pepcid its thinner and faster dissolving which was a help because theyre supposed to be empty stomach to be most effective ( although that rarely works with a pet and it does still get the job done with small amt food)
And most importantly with this drug, when i tried to take her off too soon she got so nauseous that she couldnt keep the sheba stick pocket id made down long enough to let the pill dissolve. .
since this is thin it dissolves fast so the pill can dissolve fast!

Some pets may not like the flavor ( bacon i think the other brand is liver)

I give her the pill then when its down i quickly give 2 small crunchy treat pieces in case shes crunched into it wich she only did once cuz i gave the crunchy too soon and she must have crunched into both together..
But otherwise i think sometimes she just swallows it of only crunches a tiny bit

Its truly been a Godsend because these 2 cats were my stepdads for 9 yrs and had a very hard move so trying to shove it down her throat was a setback in trust and i got bitten pretty bad wich...
