K. Zanfardino: The whole point of this book is to have make-ahead recipes so that on the day of the gathering you can spend time with your guests instead of cooking.

I bought this for my husband because whenever we have gatherings he ends up working in the kit hen or at the grill the whole time our guests are here.

This gives us good, solid recipes that can be prepped ahead of time so he can enjoy his guests.

I read some of the reviews that complained of the amount of time over several days, but the prep has to be done sometime, right? If you don't want to do the work, get your party catered.

Thebother complaint I saw was that people live in places where they may have difficulty getting some of the ingredients (e.g., water cress). So swap it with something else! Be creative!

Carmen Adorno: Jamie Oliver’s new book is awesome , as usual! My favorite Book is five ingredients, because I live alone and the book has very easy dishes very quick to prepare and always Delicious! Now, after 18 months of lockdown we Have the urge to bring family and friends together again to Commemorate life. Nothing better than Together to help you on this task! I have only one complaint: I am visually impaired, less than 10% of sight... it would be much better to have the Kindle version but as I am Brazilian I am in able to buy it ... so I have to take pictures of the recipes and try to read them on my cell phone ... maybe that will change in the future and I will be able to buy the Kindle version, at least I hope so !👍👍👍🙏🙏

Although this book has been kept under ‘wraps’ until the big release day (in terms of reviewing), I have already tried a good few recipes that have been aired in the weekend colour supplements. These did make me expect more vibrancy than that in the book, now it is in hand, but that is the norm these days.

My favourite recipe to date so far, tried & tasted over the rather dull late summer Bank Holiday here in the UK is...’CRISPY PESTO CHICKEN’ (serving 6), pages 144 & 145 complete with a ‘VEGGIE LOVE’ swap. ‘SILKY WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE’ (serving 4), on pages 202 & 203, benefits from a ‘VEGAN LOVE’ swap.
