quilter4: I always thought once a battery-operated clock died, you threw it away. What a waste! Then I discovered these replacement clock movements... Though I'd never done it before, I found it very easy to remove the old movement and put on this new one. It keeps perfect time, and the fancy hands are a nice plus! soccerdad: Used this to fix a broken Hermle mantle clock. Was able to use the original hands which was important because they are a non-standard length. Keeps perfect time so far (1 day). It is the quartz 'click' kind, so it makes a small tic every second when its running, similar to all movements like this. Easy to install and operate.

leneslenes: Having just built a new clock, time will tell (no pun intended) if the mechanism is durable. The parts are rather small so I had to use some small pliers to hold the nut to secure the minute hand. My clock face is exactly o.500 inches. I should have ordered one size longer mechanism. So far so good.
