R. Needham: I have been using this for only 2 days and I see a difference.
I am a middle aged woman, salt and pepper hair that is color treated to light brown/ dark blondish. I got the light brown shade and it matched pretty well.
I have had a scar on my head from surgery 32 years ago, so I have always had thin hair on one side of my head.
Now, my hair is thinning in front (my forehead is getting larger!) So I've got the scar on the back and thin spots coming in front. This powder made me feel more confident today because I felt less old looking.
I sprinkled it on towel dried hair , let it sit for a bit, then I blow dried it. Then added a little more powder, and checked the scar area in the back of my head and I could barely see any scar, and in front I saw less scalp. I wish this existed 20 years ago and I could have covered the scar back then.
It also seems like it will work for hiding white roots!
I have tried root sprays and they are hard to apply evenly and are sticky.
So, for this product-I recommend
this method; first, wear rubber gloves. Protect clothing, and your sink or counter so you don't make a mess. Protect your ears and your eyes.

yanks69: After reviewing all the positive reviews, Toppik was purchased and recently received. My first application was before my monthly color with Clairol. I was blonde when younger and my hair since then has turned light brown thus, ordered that hair color. My first application covered and blended very nicely. Mind you, at 72, feeling 42 and I do have a full head of hair, but noticed my crown is getting a bit thin. I was previously using a color stick for gray hair to cover not only my crown, but also my sides. Upon coloring my hair recently, I applied Toppik for only my second application. It is GREAT. I do not need much. Of course, there is a bit that lands in my sink when covering my crown while holding my mirror in one hand while sprinkling Toppik on to my hair with the other hand. The blending is just PERFECT! For better results, sprinkle a bit on, then use some hair spray lightly to hold the first sprinkle, then if needed, add more Toppik then lightly spray again. Toppik is MUCH better than the color stick. I just found a new friend! I will continue to use my color stick, but only on my sides for the gray. Hard Working Joe: So, if you're bothering to read reviews about anything like this in your ongoing battle with baldness, then let me be clear, right up front - the hair loss is winning the war. To terribly misquote Jim Morrison, "No hair gets out of here alive".... So, you're hoping against all odds that some miracle product will be a cheap, effective, undetectable cure-all in your fight against genetics or disease...well, the good news is THIS PRODUCT KIND OF WORKS. Let me be as transparent as the fine little hairs you're hoping will grow on your head - if you have some hair, but it's thinning pretty bad, this stuff will make it look fuller and hide some of the dreaded scalp showing through - however, if you plan on people getting really close to it, you can see the toppik on your scalp (at least, the dark colors show up if you're Caucasian or light skinned) - but this should work well for a job interview, a date in a restaurant, an acting/theatre gig, maybe even a family gathering - but if you plan on getting lucky and he/she not noticing the smudges on the pillow in the morning, you are out of luck....If battling hair loss is what you're up against, then Toppik is, metaphorically, another tool...
