me1228: A bedtime book for a newborn. The quality illustration caught our eye, but then Psalm 139 sealed the deal. It's a short book but has an excellent little message and is of sturdy quality.

Jess: Our 3.5 yr old boy hasn't really "connected" or understood most religious/bible themed books we've tried reading to him, but he loves this one and keeps coming back to it. The illustrations are rich and interesting, not too simple nor too complicated/abstract like in so many books. The Psalm is thoughtfully laid out for a young audience.
We also purchased the book "found" by the same author. We (parents) liked it just as much- however our 3yr old finds the one page illustrating the "lost sheep" in the darkness kind of spooky, so he much prefer this "Near" book instead.

Cody: I got this for my son for Christmas and I have definitely read it several times now. The drawings are amazing, the words are super simple and based on the scriptures (they have psalms reference, but I think Romans 8 near the end matches, too). And it was just so cute! A perfect little love story from Father to child.

Grace Easton: The book is beautiful in word and picture but the constant use of the pronoun 'he' for God is obnoxious and upsetting. It doesnt have to be used so much and could simply say 'God' and could utilize other pronouns too. Id buy again if this were updated to fix this.
