March16: This book really changed my life! It’s helped me to start a successful business, find a peace in my personal life and fight my panic attacks.

I already got 2 more books to pass to my friends!

And I need to say that all principles works for 100% only if you keep going and continue follow through from day to day and from year to year.
Every time I was forgetting and not following my everyday routine, all benefits disappear within a month or year.

Also it took a month for me to see a results and changes in my life.

mb335: No matter what your beliefs (or lack of) this book is a must! ... for me it's a life-changer! It was recommended by a work colleague who has followed the author's ways for some years, and I'm so pleased she did. I had initial regrets of coming across this book so late in life, however I appreciate now that it came to me at just the right time. Sounds crazy? Read the book and you'll see what I mean! Things will become clear if you allow them to be!

Krasen: The Diamond Cutter book is very practical and a very special book. I read it a month ago and I can't say now that all of the principals do really work but my gut tells me that it is all true. One of the main ideas in the book is to take 2 or more weeks in solitude and to tackle the biggest challenges in your work and life, away from all the noise in the city and people - just to spend some time alone and listen to your mind. I usually do the most difficult things to feel the main idea, so I took 2 weeks away from work and went it in the mountains all by myself.

Believe it or not, I found answers to all of my challenges in work and in life. It was a very very scary thing and a really painful one; to see the bare naked truth of why I am the way I am and why I can't achieve what I like and desire. The truth was one and simple though. Nevertheless, it was really difficult to listen to my mind becoming louder and louder every day.

Ever since I'm back, I feel my life has been changed even though I am still the same. One small change in me that I can give as an example is that I don't write reviews on Amazon or anywhere else because it takes a lot of time and effort, and...

Miss Moneypenny: If like me you had never imagined Buddhist principles could be used in a business environment you are in for a very pleasant surprise. The author interprets Buddhist teachings in such a way as to make them simple for everyday use. The result are powerfully beneficial to all concerned as well as to the bottom line. If you take these principles on board they have the capacity to transform dealings with colleagues, customers, suppliers & even rivals. The results improve the working environment, customer & staff trust, happiness & satisfaction all round as well as having the potential to dramatically increase the business's profitability. I am not a Buddhist & you certainly don't need to be one to enjoy this book. Read it & be inspired.

Buckeye: I found this book to be very disturbing on at least two levels. First, I found myself repeatedly cringing as the principles of buddhism were described as tools to get lots of money rolling into one's life. On that level, this book struck me as just one of many "ancient secrets of the (buddha, bible, torah, koran, etc) can make you rich!" type books. Inevitably conflicts arise between the demands of business and religious principles which, in some cases, the author either glossed over or ignored altogether, as if he almost didn't see the contradiction. For instance, early on he describes how his diamond business ran some sort of telephone or electric wire between two buildings, something that he cheerfully acknowledged was illegal. I don't know if we were supposed to find this cute or creative or what, but for me it raised a number of issues about one's committment to buddhist precepts versus one's committment to making a profit. Is it ok for anyone to break the law in order to promote their profits? Which laws are ok to break? How about all those pesky govt. environmental regulations - can those be overlooked too? The point is, I can think of lots of people (people who own oil...

Susanna Hutcheson: I had never heard of Michael Roach until I searched out Shoutcast (Internet Radio) and found the Tibetan Buddhist station. Being of that tradition, I was delighted to find the station.
The program that was on at that time was Dharma talks by Michael on The Heart Sutra, a most important Buddhist teaching.
I was so taken with his messages and the way he could get these deep ideas across so easily that I wanted to learn more about him. That's when I discovered that he had a new book out, The Diamond Cutter. So I bought a copy at Amazon.
Michael spent many years in the New York Diamond industry. He explains that he was attracted to diamonds because they are the hardest form in the universe.
This book is about business. It is about the problems that we all encounter in business daily. And it tells us how to handle the problem and why every problem has a cause, perhaps not in this lifetime but in some lifetime.
Michael clearly explains why some people who are greedy and unkind are successful. No, it's nothing they've done in this life but rather they did something of merit in another life that brought the wealth in this lifetime. But in another lifetime they will reap the...
