Maureen M.: I have the daily guide book but wanted more recipes after completing the 21 day sugar detox. This book has so many recipes. There are a few repeats that are also in the daily guide, but not many so it’s definitely still worth purchasing.

Kim B.: Kindle addition... Really don't like the kindle versions so hard to find what your looking for, no book marks for the favorite ones you what to keep making over and over again...
The book is

Ugh... So hate the Kindle versions of cookbooks! There's no way to save your favorite recipes with the bookmark, a tag, nothing, very difficult to find the recipe when you want to go back to it, or when it calls for another recipe that is an added to the one you're making, just so not worth the money!! Would rather buy the real thing opposed to Kindle version with cookbooks anyway !

The book has good advise as I was going on a last minute exotic vacation needed to loose some inches fast, and this helped me do just that! Also took a health exam while on the program and it came back with raving reviews from the docs! They wanted to know how and what I was eating as they couldn't believe how perfect ALL my blood work came back... It was that of a 20 year old (I'm much older then that 😆) I really enjoy the foods and prep times are good too. I've added this to my Eat to Live routine for added flavor and variety, for my cheat days.

Jennifer schaller: I can't say enough great things about the 21 day sugar detox books. They have completely changed the way I eat and cook for the better. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about going Paleo start with a sugar detox. I must say the first week was rough, going through the sugar withdrawals. By the second week my body started changing. I was able to walk past the sweets and bread and for the first time in my life, I wasn't tempted! I literally felt like my brain came out of a fog I didn't know I was in. My thoughts were clear, I was productive, I didn't have the afternoon slump any longer, and my digestion became regular. I never realized what I was supposed to feel like everyday and that I wasn't living up to my true health potential. What's more, the recipes are simple, easy and delicious! My whole family loved everything I cooked. I bought this book a couple years ago and have done 4 rounds of detoxing. I actually look forward to it! Amazing!

Rhiannon Reardon: Some of the recipes were way too labor intensive (1 hour or more in prep and cook times.) Many recipes required a lot of advance prep. Breakfasts seemed to be the most time consuming and that happens to be the time of day I don't have extra time to prep. The final week of the detox I just stuck to foods that were "safe" to use to get meals to the table quicker. The simplest recipes were our favorites that I continue to use in day to day menus. I felt great while doing the detox and would recommend it to anyone looking to give up sugar and limit bad carbs.

Jennifer Gresham: I'm a big fan of Diane Sanfiilippo's other cookbook, Practical Paleo, and I have been battling a lifelong sugar addiction, so thought I would give this a try. Keep in mind that I've tried to cut back or give up sugar before, only to go through severe withdrawals and never made it longer than a coupe of days.

This time it was different.

I love the food in this cookbook. That's not a surprise (since I like her other recipes), but it sure helps when you're trying to eat no carbs, no sugars. My husband couldn't believe the pork and peppers plus roasted garlic parsnips was from this book ("Maybe I should try a detox," he mused). The N'Oatmeal was such a treat when I got tired of eating eggs for breakfast. I could go on and on. I had no trouble making the recipes and they all turned out great, even as a busy, working mother.

But the real shocker was that I didn't go through my normal withdrawal symptoms! I don't want to tell you this was easy for me, it wasn't. But it was possible and I stuck with it for 2.5 weeks. Kristin Hamilton: This recipe book is awesome! We love all of the meals we cooked from this book! The 21dsd was the best thing I could have done! My sugar levels are normal, my body aches are gone, my skin is clear, I have more energy and It helped to get me on a path of healthier eating! Cutenewt: I've been gluten free due to an allergy for several years now and many friends have gotten me gluten free cookbooks with the absolute best intentions and warmth in their hearts. However, the other thing my doctor told me to get off of was sugar - and gluten free cookbooks are often loaded with (2/3 or more) recipes of how to replace cakes, cookies, and breads. Now that I have been eating less sugar and more veggies, good protein, and whole (gluten free) grains, I feel great. But I couldn't find any cookbook anywhere that gave me easy recipes that also worked for those times were you are on dinner solo. Most healthy cookbooks seemed to involve eighteen ingredients, six of them available at specialty stores not in my neighborhood, three of them used one teaspoon of things only available in pints with fast expiration dates, and the others were out of my price range.
Hello you sugar detox cookbook. I can look up easy main dishes/meats or make a simple soup or flip through tasty looking side dishes. If you cook at all most things will be in your kitchen and you'll stop by the store on the way home for just a fresh piece of fish or something. All recipes are fairly easy to prepare...

Elizabeth: I've made several recipes from this book (I have it on the Kindle Fire and it works well there) and they've all turned out well. I'd say I'm an intermediate cook--not clueless but not an expert by any means. I tend to just make things up as I go along rather than using recipes but since I'm trying to keep meals interesting for myself I'm currently using more recipes so that I can make healthy foods that are different from my usual basics. These recipes are interesting without being too complicated or advanced, and while they do tend to use "special" ingredients there are really only a handful of unusual things that get used repeatedly so that it makes sense to stock up on them. I bought the coconut aminos, coconut flour and Red Boat fish sauce, which were the only things I don't normally buy, and I've found them very useful.

I recommend this book for if you have the original 21DSD book and you're looking for more variety OR for if you want to do the 21DSD and don't care to read about the science and nutrition behind it since the basics are covered in here. (The author makes a good point, however, that if you're going to have questions about the hows and whys of the program...
