Introducing Phonics Power! (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles): 12 Step into Reading Books by Jennifer Liberts. These Martial Arts-themed books are perfect for kids, featuring high-quality binding, pages, and value for money. With an easy-to-read style, these books are an ideal way to introduce children to the world of Martial Arts!Kat: My five year old was just starting to put the sounds together, but I couldn't find any books to keep him interested enough to actually read. He loves Ninja Turtles, so keeping him engaged and wanting to read the stories was easy. Highly recommend!

PAUL DINNAGE: I thought the books were bigger from the picture, they are very small.. Not overly pleased, hopefully grandson likes them. I found them pricey for what they actually are

Christine A: My 5 year old Grandson loves these books. The Turtles are an excellent encouragement to read these stories. Simple one or two sentences a page. A great feeling to have achieved reading all 12 in one go 😊

Amazon Customer: I was struggling to get my almost 6 year old to practice reading over the summer. It was always a battle and I really just wanted it to be enjoyable for him. Over the summer he got really into TMNT and I wanted to leverage that interest to get him to read. These books are easy enough (he isn't intimidated/discouraged) and I like how they focus on specific sight words and letter sounds and provide enough repetition to make it stick. Each book has a different story and different phonetic focus. My son will easily read us a couple of these in a row willingly, no fuss.

Jen R.: This set had really cute little books. They did a good job making the stories simple but fun. If a kid likes Ninja Turtles, this will be a hit! The most difficult vocab is just the turtles' names...but they can use the pic and beginning sound to figure that out quickly

RJ: I bought these for the summer break to keep my little one reading while off from school.
We are about 7 books in and she is enjoying them, they have taught her some new words, and she is able to pick up on the words from the previous books as we go along.
The stories are short with each page containing a sentence or two. However the bite-sized nature is perfect, as it is easy for my little one to follow and read aloud. She can also get to the end before boredom creeps in.
We also bought the Paw Patrol books in the same series, she reaches for the Turtles more however (only 4 books into Paw Patrol).
As an aid to sharpen reading skills I recommend these books. To teach a child how to read from scratch however I would admittedly look elsewhere.
I use the Turtles and Paw Patrol Phonetics series in addition to what my daughter learns in class, reading her stories with books we have bought or get from the library, and having her read when out and about (signs, etc.).
We also purchased the kindergarten activity books with writing and counting exercises which have helped tremendously.

Lagomorph: The nephew LOVES it and so did I!
It's a wonderful gift for a small adult and a big child!
Don't break a small adult's heart by not knowing the names of their favourite ninjas so here's a quick summary for the big children=
1 Donatello=Purple eye mask
2. Raphael=Red eye mask
3. Leonardo=Blue eye mask
4. Michelangelo=Orange eye mask
5. Splinter=The ninjutsu rat (you)
6. Shredder=The supervillain (Wolverine cosplayer)
7. Krang=The supervillain who is a brain-like Alien but never call him a Utrom because even he didn't call himself that. Do you get it, parents? No?
Use this as a reference guide if your child gives you dirty looks for confusing the turtles because they're named after the four most famous Renaissance artists and Antonio da Corregio wasn't included because he's Teenage mutant ninja Waldo, perhaps...
Donatello was Italian and Italians love their Purple Garlic.
Raphael starts with an R so that's Red.
Leo, like the guy in the Titanic movie... He drowned in the blue sea so that's blue. Michelangelo... Angels like to eat oranges so that's orange.
Have a nice day.
