dorothy l peters: Great Tea. My only complaint is they shipped it in a loose padded envelope that crushed the box up. Very good taste. And very resonable price. What more can you want?

AM L.: The only problem I had with this order was that the seller packaged the tin in a bubble mailer. This seems to be an increasing practice to cut corners. As if they are ignorant of what packages go through en route to the buyer. Pretty much a guarantee that your tin will be very dented.

Otherwise, the tea is lovely! Skip the tinned version, if you can. It costs more because of the tin packaging that you'll likely have to toss out on arrival.

TheDuckODeth: I'm generally a fan of Taylors of Harrogate black teas. Unfortunately this one has been disappointing. The spiced flavour is just far too subtle and weak, almost no taste of it. There's an aroma of it when one opens the package, and a bare hint of it in sips of the tea itself, but far too little. I might be inclined to go easier with my rating if it were an inexpensive tea, but that it certainly isn't. So the lack of spiced taste is really unacceptable.

The basic quality of the black tea base seems fine; one extra star for that, but that's all. Unfortunately not really recommendable otherwise.

LARRY ODOM: As with all Taylors of Harrogate tea, this variety does not disappoint. We were fortunate enough to be introduced to Yorkshire Gold by someone in my London bureau.

The Earl Grey variant is smooth, aromatic, and clean tasting. Since I like an extra robust cup of tea once in a while I’ll add some of each (Yorkshire Gold and the Earl Grey).

The rich/malty flavor pairs well with half & half, and the sweetener of your choice.

Maksym: I've recently delved into the world of loose-leaf teas, and Taylors of Harrogate Earl Grey has been a delightful discovery.

The aroma that wafts from the tin is a symphony of bergamot, a fragrant citrus delight. It's not just tea; it's an olfactory experience that sets the stage for the tea journey ahead.

The loose leaves are a visual treat, a blend of quality black tea leaves and bergamot oil. The brewing process is a spectacle as the leaves unfurl, releasing their full flavor potential. The result is a cup of Earl Grey that dances on the palate with a perfect balance of robust tea and the zesty notes of bergamot.

What sets Taylors of Harrogate apart is the attention to detail. The tin is not just packaging; it's a nod to the brand's commitment to preserving the freshness of the tea. The resealable lid ensures each scoop maintains its aromatic allure.

Whether you're a seasoned tea connoisseur or a novice looking to embark on a tea adventure, this loose-leaf Earl Grey is a must-try. , Taylors of Harrogate Earl Grey Loose Leaf is a sensory journey that every tea lover should embark on. Elevate your tea moments with this exceptional...

pej: I was really looking forward to this tea. I had tried the tea bags from a shop before and was quite impressed, so my expectations for the loose leaf were quite high. However, much to my dismay, I received a box that had been opened and was missing at least half the content.

Jim McCubbin: I like this brand of tea. Fresh and full body with a nice finish.

EPICurean M.: So I finally made my milk tea blend with Taylor's English Breakfast Black tea, Ceylon black tea leaves and another great brand of black tea. Another is I made a cup of tea with Taylor's English breakfast alone.
I wanted to try Taylor's to see if this is the black tea taste that I am looking for.
So I added about 4 tbsp Taylor's English breakfast to 2 cups of boiling water. I steeped it for 8 minutes for a stronger brew.
I strained and poured 3/4 cup in a warm mug. Then tasted it - Mmmm! this tea is excellent, just mellow, with dark tannins and very smooth roasted black tea leaves. I would switch this with any tea leaves made by any American tea brands except for Lusianne (which is made in the South) and Bigelow (slightly lighter in taste than this brand. I would definitely skip Lipton and any off-brands that taste like Lipton. It is just awful because it tastes like watered-down tea with artificial lemon oil flavor in it.
But anyway, Taylor's English breakfast can definitely go a long way with boiling in some water, then just adding 2 tbsp Taylor's, and steeping it for 5 minutes or recommending steeping time from them. For me, I wanted a stronger brew...

N. Kilpatrick: I've bought this Kilo of Taylor's tea many times on AZ and from this seller in the Kilo twice. This time the kilo bag has a best-before date of 2025 and I'm glad of that. I've had a few cups so far. Because I'm super familiar with Taylor's Earl Grey, and because I have a tiny bit left from my previous order that expired Sept 2023, I tasted both to see what the difference is, measuring accurately for the 2 cups, same quantity of water. The new tea is weaker than the previous bag of tea. I don't know if along the way someone poured older tea into a new bag/new best-before and sealed it or what. But the tea is definitely weaker and I needed more of it to get the familiar flavor and intensity of taste in the cup.

Lissette Ilgner: Love Scottish Tea, lovely taste and too strong. A bit pricey for 4oz. Enjoying nonetheless.
