B: Great pump but the bend the clear tube and squeeze it into the box and the clear discharge line would not recover from the wrapped up bends. I had to go purchase a 10 foot line to ensure the discharge didn’t get cut off and cause water everywhere if eft unattended. Line has been stretched out for almost a week with a wood fire going and is still kinked

Marcello: This pump is quiet and powerful. However, the automatic water level switch never worked right, even right after I installed it. So don't be surprised if you find your garage floor slippery due to flooding. To get around this problem, I have to gently kick the "superior pump" every couple of days to force the sensor to trigger and pump water out of a full bin. Would love to not have to do this anymore... quick update. I called the company just now and they said they don't have any spare switch parts to send me, BUT, that I should open it up and inspect the switch for shipping debris. Nice guy on the phone. So I'm willing to give this a try. Stay tuned!

Glenn Slater: Doesn't work all the time, only sometime. Flooded part of my basement because of it. I contacted the manufacturer. I followed up two weeks later, still no response. I'll have to throw it out and spend the money again on another brand. Avoid Superior Pumps, product didn't work and manufacturer doesn't respond to inquires.

"Hello. I purchased this pump for my furnace. I installed it in place of the old one and then filled it with water to test it. No problem.

I went to my furnace room a week later and it was flooded.

The pump doesn't seem to work all the time. I have the pump sitting in a plastic bucket because it works infrequently and I can't keep drying up water.

Example, I turned my AC. Checked the pump and for 18 hours it was fine. I checked it again and it was floating in water in the bucket. As soon as I gently touched the housing it immediately pumped. Super gently touched.

I took the top off and verified there was no interference for the float. I engaged the float a number of times by hand and it worked every time. I put everything back together, filled the pump and it worked. Came back later and the bucket...

Darker-Side-Of-Blue: I bought this to replace a noisy Little Giant that lasted about 11 years. I used to be able to hear the older unit from outside the basement. I can't hear this thing at all. In fact, after installation, I had to go back down to make sure it was actually working. It was. It's just really quiet. We'll see how long it lasts. I'll update my review if something goes bad.

Sean Bryant: When it kicks on we can hear it the house if there are no other electronics on. it doesn't stay on long and it's not deafening, but it's definitely loud.

Was sent a unit that DID NOT work out of the box.

Not user error because I have been in plumbing for over 10 years.

It must be the main float switch or it’s connections, not allowing the motor to even turn on.

Yes, I have a safety switch model. And I have tried every configuration possible. Even taking the switch out, to no avail.

Systems Engineer: Looks like a well built unit, have not installed it as it was purchased as a spare however, the details indicate that a safety switch with N.O. AND N.C. contacts are available but there are only two wires. Either there is no common wire or one of the contacts are NOT available. N.C. contacts would be used as a shutdown for either furnace or air conditioner and the N.O. contact would be used for and alarm or indicator. False information again on an Amazon purchase. I am getting tired of sending stuff back, I am partially disabled and rely on others to get around so, I need to keep that to a minimum or I will not only have parts that are no good too me and no way to return them. Thank You
