The DiffsThe Diffs: This is a great little pump. This is my 3rd year draining my 18ft x 4ft pool. It takes all day with a standard garden hose so if you need something fast, I would upgrade to the discharge hose kit. I usually turn it off at night and the hose acts as a siphon and continues to drain. It's a solid unit and does exactly what I need.

lisa gollotte: I use this pump to empty my above ground pool when the water gets about 2 foot deep. It works great and makes quick work of the process. Just make sure you fix so no debris can clog it. I put a small rabbit wire cage around it and it worked great.

michael brown: Looks like a nice pump I have not used it yet. there is no switch to turn it on and off. There is no the float level switch. It was not sure about all that so this pump Hass to be unplugged Oregon buy a bubble switch or float switch. I think I’m going to use it just emergencies or floods. looks and feels a very high quality. Might try it out in the hot tub just to see how far pushes water.

Cari-Lynn: Have had as a sump pump for approx 3 months and have had no issues. Depending on the water table, pump can run every couple min or a couple times a day.

ShellyShelly: Purchased in 2020. It’s done a pretty good job pumping rain water out of my (out of service) in-ground pool about 20 times since purchased. I’m guessing less than 200 hours of use. Just died on me trying to empty the pool again after tropical storm Hilary left me with 4 feet of water. I always cleaned it up after use and stored it in the garage. I’m really bummed I have to buy a new one.

I do like that it has a standard hose threaded connector. The little nubs on the bottom broke off quick with being rubbed on the rough concrete. It worked well for what I needed it for. I don’t know the lifespan of these pumps of similar price range so no comparison of other brands. I would spend another $60 for another 3 years.

ThrillReader: FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC, MONEY-SAVING DEVICE!!! I had a pool service bank on the fact that my husband and I were super busy, and scam the heck out of us! By the time we realized that they weren't doing anything for their money, our 15,000+ gallon pool looked like a terarium (you know, with the green plants growing from the bottom)!!! Even though we just had the pool drained and acid washed this past January, you couldn't tell by the green sludge on every surface. My husband went to the local AZ pool store, and they sold him $200 worth of chemicals. But, I happened to be talking to an excellent car repairman (which used to be a pool repairman) that said "DON'T DO IT! YOU WILL JUST PUT ALL OF THAT ALGAE THROUGH YOUR DE FILTER!!!" So, I decided to look for a pump and get some skin in the game. I found this great little pump on Amazon and was very excited. See, it cost me $500 to have my pool emptied and acid washed 10 months ago. And, the local Home D rents a pump to do this job for the same price!
