scott rosenblatt: the product is very sturdy. Was easy to install. i thought at first it would be flush but as i tightened it did ad wheel is straight. I had to use the extension on the left side as that hold bracket was curved. would have been nice if the left hold bracket was straight to the frame, but then it would not be symmetrical so i guess its best.

Steve Jones: This set uses 3/8 - 24 thread and M10 x 1.5 thread hardware. Those 2 are very close of being the same threads , but not close enough no to cause damage to threads if you are'nt careful. I had to use the Die grinder is because of where the chain guard bracket just happened to be where the arm support rested on the frame. I installed it in a garage with a lot of tools at my disposal. I doubt it can be done with basic tools. I had to have Inch and metric tools. It works very well once you get it installed. Very sturdy !. Works great with a 26 inch Walmart bike. Be patient.

METROVAN3: These are heavy duty training wheels, strong steel design. there adjustable to fit bike rims from 20 to 26. Does take time to configure to fit. Not sure what type of bikes the manufacture has in mind, But I has to manipulate each side to fit and still was unable to get the correct alignment on a twenty inch girls bike with manual brakes.
They however function just find albeit off toe. ( Not completely parallel to the rim, at a few degrees pass 90.
The tread pattern on the training wheels wears off immediately, But function just fine.

Front Row: The well built training wheels will support most adults and are relatively easy to install. Beware that the screws have specific purposes and can easily be confused. The directions seemed to be written by someone with poor English skills and thus maybe vague at best. The wheels will wear down because they are made of a solid material that may only last a few hundred miles of peddling. The training wheels will allow the bike to wobble a bit so the rider will learn how to steady the bike. Because the wheels are not inflatable tires, these training wheels are not a permanent fixture and are for teaching purposes with the objective that the rider will evolve to not needing the supports.

Patricia L: My disabled daughter can finally ride her bike! We tried two or three other products before this that would still allow us to keep a fairly slim-line bicycle profile (important for getting the bicycle in the garage during our Chicago winters!) This one works. It's heavy duty and sturdy. The tires are designed to be on the road all the time. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that we didn't get any instructions. Since we've gone through so many products (and were actually taking one set of balancing wheels off to put these on) we managed without them (although there was an interference on on the left side where my husband needed to remove part of bar with a hacksaw.) I would suggest renaming them -- these aren't designed to be "training" wheels -- the people that need these sort of product will never learn to ride a bike without them. Call them what they are: Balancing wheels.
