The 33 inch SteelFreak Super Heavy Duty Steel Fireplace Grate is made in the USA with heavy-duty all-steel construction that ensures an extended durability. The grate is designed with center support legs that are slightly shorter than the outer legs to prevent rocking in the middle and is wider in front than in back to fit the majority of fireplaces.
Michael: Having used the fireplace with THIS grate through a northern Michigan winter, I feel comfortable giving a top review. Over 5 cords of oak burned and the grate shows no wear. This grate was high enough to allow ventilation even after several logs of coals and ash. The metal is heavy enough it never showed signs of glowing. This was the best money spent I could wish for.

Sanddancer: Well worth the money. I have the 21 inch and was happy to buy the 27 inch version. They show little signs of burn through after several years of use. My previous cast iron grate was burnt through and full of extra holes after several years.

LAWRENCE SCHUMERLAWRENCE SCHUMER: I purchased this grate last fall and have used it a lot this past winter. It hasn't shown any signs of deterioration or warping like previous grates I have purchased . It was more expensive than previous ones but in my book well worth the money.

Hendi: Had trouble keeping the fire burning due to height. I used t grinder to cut 1” off and works perfectly now.

Stuart: Not as big in real life as it is advertised to be, also too high, which allows ash to build up to almost 4" deep, when the fire place is cleaned out, allows wood to burn too fast.

The grate has not changed its original shape since removing it from the box. See the pic. I bought this grate in 2021 and it’s now 2023 when I took the pic.
Well worth the price and it’s made in the USA.
