Stay Warm and Comfortable in Coleman's Big & Tall 0F Sleeping Bag

Amazon Customer: I've bought this product twice now, and I've ordered two each time, so obviously I think it's a worthwhile purchase. I buy two at a time so my wife and I can zip them together to form a double bag, which is a nice, albeit pretty much standard, feature.

The pros:
Warm, comfortable, and long enough for my height. I'm 6'6", so I'm right at the upper end of the recommended height range. The zipper rarely snags the lining. Note that while the bag is rated for 0° F, any experienced camper knows that is basically the "you'll survive" temperature, not the "you'll be comfortable" temperature.

The cons:
After the equivalent of about 3 months of continuous use, the lining in my first set of bags has totally worn out and shredded, allowing the "stuffing" to fall apart and get all bunched up. If you camp for a week or two at a time, it'll probably last for years, but if you're more serious about your camping, it kinda falls short of my expectations on the durability aspect.

Amazon Customer: Love this sleeping bag! So very soft and cozy and oversized so there’s plenty of room. It did take me 3 tries to roll it up as tightly as they had it but still not bad. It does have a cute cell phone pocket so you could keep your phone in that and not lose it in the bag.

David KIM: Used it camping last month. I loved it. Was comfortable and warm. I'm 5, 7" and 230lb and it fit with plenty of room to spare. It's thick, and I did fear being a bit too warm in it. But that was not the case. The temperature when I camped went down to 40F and I didn't feel the need to zip up. I wore long sweats and a Tshirt to sleep. I anticipated needing to get up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom, so I dressed with that in mind in going to sleep. Mainly cuz it's so big and I didn't feel cold air come under the top. Had the temp gone down to 30F, I probably would have zipped up. The bag is definitely long enough and could easily fit someone 6'5" and someone who is at least 75lb bigger than me.
It breathed well and I was not too warm. it's big and is NOT a backpacking bag. It's only for car camping or home use. The product is well made and the zipper is strong and holds up well and it easy to get to inside and outside of the bag once you're in it. I tested it by sleeping in it on my bed the day I got it and the flannel feeling inner liner felt comfortable. It feels like a warm hug is the best way to describe it. Jester13: Good quality,very spacious and not constricting like mummy bags,very warm and fluffy. Have used in some crazy camping situations and it is still holding up. I would probably rate for 50⁰-60⁰ based on my comfort level. Definitely too heavy for multiple day backpacking,but great utility bag for car camping,weekend camping,and cabins.

I'm not overly tall but wanted a sleeping bag that is roomy enough to feel like a regular bed. This one is perfect. The flannelette lining is super cosy and i can pull it up over my head without my feet getting all cramped. Highly recommended for anyone who doesnt need a compact sleeping bag

Shas Cho: This Coleman bag has nearly everything I was looking for. Large size, light weight, good loft, flannel interior, canvas exterior. Plus lots of thoughtful details such as a quick bungee system for securing the rolled bag, a little zippered pocket for eyeglasses, phone, flashlight, etc.
My only complaint, and to others it might be a plus, is that the flannel interior wraps around to cover the top several inches of the exterior. Canvas repels dirt and oil and pine needles while flannel seems to attract them. This area also tends to be the first to fray with use, so the more durable canvas seems like a better choice here. Not a huge thing, but it feels like an error in the design.
Overall I recommend this sleeping bag if you don't use it heavily and on the ground.
