M. Blankenship: The tines only are what is stainless steel. The rest is definitely not made for long-term durability, and it won't survive the dishwasher.

D. Polley: It is not the sturdiest egg slicer I've had, but for the price, it is fine. Functional and nice to be able to cut into slices or wedges. I'd probably shop for a bit sturdier one next time as the wires are already a bit loose after only a few uses. Still cuts though!
