The rug initially looked beautiful and well made when it first came in and after a few days looked a tad bit dingy. I threw it in the wash the first time and the strings around the edge that make the design starting tearing apart already. I do see it functioning as a bath mat for awhile but definitely not one you can put out as a decor piece as it will just unravel.

I bought this rug to go beneath my dog’s water & food bowls. It’s small but exactly what I needed! Inexpensive & adorable. I haven’t washed it yet so I can’t speak to its durability, but it is really cute.

Like a few other people said, these basically disintegrated in the washing machine. They were in there with other items so it’s not like they were agitated roughly. The picture shows only a FRACTION of the lint and cotton that came off in the wash. That was the LAST pile I collected after aggressively shaking out the other items that were on the wash with the mats. I had to pull handfuls off the sides of the drum in my washer and I’m afraid it’s going to damage the washer. Just be mindful. They are soft attractive little rugs but the materials used are not durable and definitely not made to be machine washed.

I spilt bleach on my last rug and searched a while to get the perfect replacements. I do not like chenille or the carpet looking ones. So I specially was looking for this exact material. The lace pattern is adorable. It’s reversible. Like some have commented, they can be a pain to vacuum, but I just put my foot on a corner to keep in place and it’s totally fine. Buying more for my downstairs bathroom.
