I think Homestucks overexaggerate the greatness of this paint. It works for the purposes, sure, but it's not amazing or even as good of quality as you'd expect from something talked so highly of.
It definitely has a blue-ish hue if you get light grey. If you're using this for Homestuck cosplay it's fine.
The paint takes some time to get enough on so that it isn't see through, and I have lighter skin so this is probably even tougher if you're POC.
And even when using a makeup sponge the paint is tough to make it even and not splotchy.
All in all, this paint is probably beat for if you're painting kids' faces, and ony use it for costumes if you have experience in face paint and know how to make it look nice, because this paint will not make itself look good for you. You have to put in the work. I've been cosplaying for years so I think I've got the technique down and this paint should work fine for me. Think before you buy.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Perfect for me and my sisters nepeta and meulin cosplay!! If you put it on your face and its a bit of a bluish tint use snazaroo light orange it will take out the blue. Overall It didn't crack, or fade after using make up sealer, and you have to be careful when eating because it will come off the area around your lips. With that note, I would not suggest putting it on you hands if you plan on touching thing because even when it was sealed it could rub off on things.

Winter: Alright, so, I've been experimenting for several different cosplays (not just Homestuck ones) body and face paint. So far, the products I've used have been really damaging on my skin, wouldn't dry easily or quick enough, wouldn't blend right, would feel uncomfortable and itchy, would look hideous, get on my wig/clothing too easily, and just was overall unpleasant. I've heard so many rumors about Snazaroo being rad as frick-frack, and this.

I'll definitely be purchasing Snazaroo for my other cosplays. I couldn't even feel that I was wearing it, to be entirely honest. It was comfortable, and I could (very lightly) scratch my face, if the need be. So far, there has been no damage to my skin, but I was only wearing it for about three hours, maybe four. Nonetheless, it was a breeze to wash off, not to mention just a little bit goes a long way. I would honestly recommend to any parents who are doing facepaint for a child's birthday/other holiday/celebration, fundraising, costumes, and then to my beloved cosplayers out there. This is a gift from the gODS my friends.

NICOLE: Love, love, LOVE this stuff! Used it for Marcaline and Marshall Lee cosplay and it worked great. Easily to apply, solid coverage, and didn't clog my ever angry pores! Lasted all day and was rather difficult to wash off. (Came off beautifully in the shower).
I used a $1 E.L.F. Foundation brush and put maybe a teaspoon of water in the Snazaroo cap. Tap the brush in the water and then mix a little on the paint itself, paint your face! Transfer was a problem with this so make sure you do your hands/arms last and be careful what you touch! Staining was not an issue at all, this wipes off with a little but of soapy water. We did not only our faces but our arms as well and this worked just as well on the body.

Samantha: I cosplayed a Homestuck troll at PCC, and I was able to paint my arms, face, and neck both days I dressed up, (as well as 2-3 makeup tests beforehand), and I didn't even come close to finishing one container. It doesn't wear off much as long as you seal it, but take care while using it around your eyes. It also is pretty hard to get off fingernails, so if you're going to paint your nails, I suggest doing that after applying the Snazaroo.
I had friends that used Ben Nye, and their makeup was completely worn off at the end of the day. I highly recommend using this instead.
(However, beware of sweating while while wearing this! While it won't actually melt off your face, you will get blotches anywhere you get wet; including places where you sweat.)
