The Naneki NA-10 is the perfect ukulele set for the aspiring ukulele player. But, it also holds its own very well for the intermediate to advanced player. A fantastic set!
First off, the ukulele itself has great action (perfect for beginning and advanced fingers alike. It is comfortable to play up at the nut as well as up the neck. It comes with unbranded enclosed tuners which are solid and work very well. It tuned up quickly and held its tune. The construction looks solid and built without any flaws. Frets are smooth down the neck and the woods on the fingerboard and bridge are well hydrated. It has both side markers and fingerboard markers. On a personal note, cosmetically speaking, I absolutely LOVE the headstock! The printed design is very classy. I got the red model and it’s gorgeous!

This ukulele is pretty fantastic. Easily one of the best beginner models I have played. I love almost everything about it.
First, the color is fantastic. Purple is my favorite color. This ukuleke also comes in seven other colors if purple is not for you.
Second, it is well set up right out of the box. The strings are a good quality and the string height is just where it should be. This soprano is easy to play with no buzzing. The edges of the frets are nice and smooth.
Third, the accessory kit gives you more than you need to get started. A tuner is a must and the book is well done. It does come with fingertip guards that I will not be using and I imagine they would make this ukuleke harder to play. You may or may not want to use the picks. Traditionally they are not used.

I highly recommend this ukelele for beginners or for anyone who just wants an inexpensive one to carry around or practice with. I have ordered two of them and have been very pleased with both. They sound great, tune up well, and the accessories are helpful. You CANNOT beat this price for the quality of the instrument and amount of accessories. Definitely get one or two!

I ordered 2 of these ukuleles, one in yellow and one in natural along with a Donner soprano in black. These are christmas gifts for my 7, 10 and 13 yo, so ive had them about a week and Ive been playing them to make sure they will be good for my kids. So far I love the smiger-naneki ukes. They tuned up easy the 1st day and have stayed close to tune after about the 3rd day. They seem well constructed for a entry level inexpensive uke. They came with some accessories including a decent tuner with and extra battery and an extra set of aquila branded strings. The bag is nothing more then a dust cover but I guess it will serve its purpose, although I imagine we will always have these out playing them so it won't be needed. The asthetics of this ukulele are very appealing. There is a sweet shaped headstock with a neat geographic pattern for extra interest. The body is a standard shape, very classic in style, and they colors are so vibrant! I chose the fuschia pink color and it is so pretty! It is so bright and cheerful!
The sound is impressive on this soprano. It rings out nicely, and once the new strings settle, it is a blast to play this soprano... comfortable action, and the sustain is decent. It's quite enjoyable.
