Sniper: I needed a CAL. weight for my A N D EJ123 balance/scale. After buying a few of the best available here on Amazon, I settled on this one. For weighing gunpowder to the hundredth of a grain, this little gem does the job to calibrate my scale.

Majork: Nice white plastic case holder with a super accurate shiny chrome weight. Very familiar with weights as I worked for a truck scale company years ago building, repairing scales along with welding weights together that would be used on the truck scales to balance them to a weight measurement in karats. I noticed the weights are sealed very well and will last forever. On my new digital scales they showed 100.0000 Grams. Bingo, Right on the Money. This company is recommended for price also. P. Kremer: This review is for the 100 gram weight. I used this to calibrate a counting scale which is accurate to 0.01 grams, and the counting scale delivers perfectly accurate results every single time. I have no reason to doubt that these weights are accurate. When I also placed this company's 300 gram weight on the scale (after calibrating with this 100 gram weight), it read 299.98, which is well within the advertised margin of error. Just in case you find that concerning, understand that the smallest and lightest Lego pieces weigh approximately 0.12 grams, and these weights are accurate to within 0.02 grams. That's pretty darn accurate.

BigBadBruno: Every once in awhile, my digital scale seems to be a little off. When you weigh out very similar things day in and day out, you get to kind of memorize what something weighs by eyeballing it. You'll get a hunch that wht you're weighing isn't accurate on your scale due to constant travel with scal in hand. Well this little guy has proven my hunches to be right 100% of the time. As soon as I think something isn't weighing properly, I toss this bad boy on and press a couple buttons and voila! I was right! that gram was over! This thing has saved me hundreds of dollars if you think about it that way. AND it comes in a sweet protective case although it is just a solid piece of metal. It doesn't need much protecting. Maybe the case is to protect other goods it may come in contact with? Regardless, it's a nice little addition.

Noemata: There is really no point to use a calibration weight if the actual weight is not its nominal weight. OIML Class M1 is not just a geeky set of letters and numbers. It is the difference between a calibration weight that is useful to calibrate one of the "0.01 gram" read-out scales that Amazon sells and a weight that is not useful for that purpose.

Recently, we purchased from Amazon an  Etekcity 500g Digital Pocket Scale, Stainless Steel, Backlit Display, Tare, Hold and PCS Features, 0.001oz Resolution . We also ordered a 500g calibration weight (-not- a Smart Weigh calibration weight), needed to calibrate that scale. Not paying sufficient attention -- our fault -- the calibration weight that we ordered was not an OIML Class M1 weight. (If it had been an OIML Class M1 weight, the 500g weight would have been accurate to plus or minus 0.025 grams, or 25 milligrams.) When we placed that nominally 500g weight on the nominally 500g capacity scale, the scale's display read O_Ld (overload). When we attempted to calibrate the scale with that same weight, the scale's calibration program never completed its cycle, even though we allowed it 24 hours to do so. (We have a separate...
