Mermaid: my hands were covered in inks when I had to pierce a hole in each bottle, they squirted out all over me.
I bought these because i had heard of this problem, and thought these ones already had the holes punctured, also while i was using the white ink..it would block up, and i had to redo the hole in it a few times

Rday0406Rday0406: Great ink to work with and the red is perfect its red and not pinkish or orange. The white doesn't do much so I use another white for when I really need the ink to drop.

leslier: This product work well for epoxy applications. Give your project about an hour to cure before applying coloured alcohol based inks. Then continue curing until set.

Jill Conklin: These are beautiful colors and fairly easy to use, BUT they shoot out the top everytime you open them for the first time. You have to cut the tip or poke it with a clothes pin. Use a clothes pin and have it over a thick towel because they stain everything they touch! Including my stainless steel scissors that I instantly washed...still blue stained now! They are absolutely beautiful and perfect for epoxy!

S Isom: I am a beginner to using alcohol ink in resin. So i was excited to get this purchase. The value is great, especially if you are a beginner on the learning curve. The colors aren't as vibrant as I anticipated, but it's ok. Opening the vials, however, was another issue. Upon opening the vial with a pin, the ink squirted out all over the place. So I poked the next few VERY carefully to no avail. The inks still kept squirting out, even before shaking them. The white ink didn't squirt out at first, but when turning it upside down to use it, it shot out all over my table and over some of my resin pieces that were curing!! SO disappointing!!. No directions other than shake well before using (everyone is not an expert). I would otherwise have given this product four stars if it hadn't been for that fiasco. BUT if I did something wrong, or if there is a trick to opening the inks, please let me know!

CindyLouWhoCindyLouWho: The turquoise and some of the colors are very nice but I did notice the purple was super light and not as dark as I wanted when the turquoise mixed in with the purple then it became a darker purple which is more of the color I was going for I guess they’re not as concentrated maybe But the blues seem to be the same color that’s advertised

Elena Wolf: This was my first time working with alcohol inks, so I can't really compare it to other brands. That having been said, I was pleased with the performance of these inks (for resin work). The colors were rich and didn't muddy the way I thought they might. The only thing I would criticize negatively would be that there wasn't any warning about opening the bottles. They must be peirced with a sewing needle or something similar you pull the needle back out it sprays a bit of ink that will give you a mess to clean up even before you can begin your project. This eruption of ink all over your fingers has an easy fix. Just wrap a paper towel (or 1/2 of one) around the nozzle and the needle before withdrawing the needle after puncture. I want to try some other brands of inks so I have something to compare, but overall I was pleased with this ink set's quality, price & performance.

Jenna WelterJenna Welter: Ok paper marbling crew, I bought these inks first my first time attempt at making marbled paper. For some reason I could find this information NOWHERE on the internet so I'll let you know what I figured out.
My first, first attempt was to use water at the dripping medium for the ink. The result was the first picture, very watercolory,, indistinct lines, and a lot of wasted ink because it wanted to defuse into the water and not sit on the surface of it. A pretty enough result but not at all what I desired.
Every resource I found said they used water but the liquid used always appeared more viscous than water. So for my second, first attempt I decided to used oil instead. I settled on a cheap vegetable oil and, oh my goodness. The stuff of DREAMS came out of it. The second photo really doesn't display the true color of each sheet. They are really so beautiful. So use the oil and NOT the water for marbling.
The inks themselves were a good enough investment for the money. I was disappointed that there was only one shade of green. The white ink was so weird. It developed a kind of film as soon as I dripped it onto both the water and oil. Very strange. I didn't use it. I found...
