Rob: Pretty good base so far, bought it for my old-school Craftsman 10" tablesaw. Very easy to size correctly, and quite sturdy. My only real complaint is the way that the bolts are set up for putting together the arms is a little time consuming as they want the nylon of the locknut facing "in", which is a bit difficult to start without cross-threading. Ended up putting the bolt on normally, screwing it in past the nylon, then unscrewing it and re-doing it with the nylon facing "in". Once assembled though, so far so good!

Walter Dokuchie: Rolling Thunder! Excellent, sturdy and highly recommend. Used on by 14" Bandsaw and moves with ease.

Larry P.: Easily fit my stationary table saw with 300lb cast iron table. Muscling and leveraging it on was a different matter. Ideally you need five people to put it under the saw. One on each corner lifting and one brave and trusting soul under the saw to adjust and align. It can be done by one person, that’s how I did it, but that’s definitely the hard way. Once on it steers easily and is sturdy when the legs are extended. Great way to keep your big saw and get some of your garage back, just in case your wife or someone thinks a garage is for parking a car. Btw a garage is for tools and motorcycles.

Bill: Now that I'm not building cabinets for a living anymore I wanted to be able to move my cast-iron cabinet saw around in my shop. I did bolt my saw to a double plywood base as the instructions suggest to stretch this thing out to have a larger, more stable footprint. I haven't had it for very long yet but the engineering is smart, the assembly is straight-forward, it moves (quite easily) when you want it to, and it stays put when you lock the wheels. I might buy again if I want to add mobility to other tools. It works better than I expected and I would recommend it to my best friend if he had enough space in his shop to move his equipment around. Come to think of it, this would probably help with his space problem.

- KK: Just purchased along with the accessory extension kit for use on a 600lb 1995 Powermatic 66.

Pro's:
- Certainly is very heavy duty. Didn't even flinch, let alone deflect when my 600lb saw was loaded onto it.
- Sizing of base within the spec'd range is infinitely adjustable, as opposed to many other models which have pre-drilled holes in increments that aren't always ideal for the specific tool/application.
- Very low-profile and does not significantly raise the height of your machines deck after installation.
- After replacing the manufacturer supplied pair of fixed casters with swivels, maneuverability is excellent. (also see Con below).
- Caster locations for my particular machine setup do not stick out towards the operator and or pose any real tripping hazard as with many other models.
- Finish is very industrial looking and understated. No shiny or obnoxious neon colored parts.

Cons:
- Assembly required is Total. Meaning that you get a big box of parts, and a very large bag of mixed bolts and washers. Predictably the instructions are cryptic at best and could be frustrating to anyone who isn't highly experienced...

K: Used for a 800ish pound Hammer a341 jointer planer. I put a 1 inch thick plywood peice that came with the machine and slid it into place with some help and a come along. The instructions are just fair and i ran out of some washers following the instructions. The bit on putting the lock bolts upside down to secure each corner and the extension didnt work for me (how and why). Seems like a lot of trouble. Just ignored. If i get the feeling its not safe i will drill new holes and put a bolt in each place to secure extension to each corner but the bolts down as is seems good enough. Agree.they stick out a lot and thus look a bit funny but oh well.

SecureType: I have several of these. Cast iron/steel wheels roll easy on concrete. Well designed & constructed, rock solid and the best off-the-shelf machinery base available. No sagging, as all of my machines are mounted tightly into each corner (I recommend adding 1/4" thick stick-on pads to protect the paint of the machine base and remember to size the base to allow for the thickness of the pads).

You might have to cut one or two bolts (or simply buy shorter metric hex head bolts locally) which may interfere with machinery access doors (example: lower door of Grizzly bandsaw). Plan B: drill a pilot hole through a bar and tap as necessary to get the bolt heads as low as possible, but only at places where there's interference. This is no big deal and slight modification of any universal base is to be expected, as machine configurations vary. Any self-respecting cabinetmaker will know how to do the minimal and simple metalwork modification.

Positions the machine as low as possible to the floor. Caster mounting brackets are substantial and reinforced; casters and bracket positions can be oriented to suit your needs or preference. I have not...

EastCoastWoodworker: I was a bit worried about how I would lift the table saw (about 500 lbs) onto this base. The instructions are very helpful in explaining how to assemble the unit in two halves and then tilt the table to slip one half under the saw, then the other half.

I set up the mobile base to move from side to side once unlocked (left to right or vice versa). To do this, you must orient the non-swiveling wheels on the base to roll from side to side, not front to back. With the stationary wheels in that orientation, it will prevent the saw from moving front to back when pushing long boards or sheet stock (provided the swivel wheels are locked, of course).

The only thing I would change in my assembly sequence is that I should have installed the wheels EXACTLY as shown in the picture. The reason the wheels are placed that way (on either side of the saw) is that they are in their narrowest configuration and in line with the direction the unit will roll. Especially if you have (or going to add) an extension table with wheels attached to your existing mobile base.

This is a quality product and I am very pleased with its performance and usefulness in the...
