Amazon Customer: Good quality

Geoffrey P.: I have purchased many Marsala powders, many different kinds, this one is excellent for most Indian rice recipes. The worst are those made in the United States, the best are from India, having the right proportions and a wider range of herbs and seasonings. Biryanhi marasla has much more pleasant aroma when cooking than regular marsalas, and is more expensive as it uses more ingredients and spices. This brand is the best I have ever had.

Klatu: A good coating for your fish. A little different from some other coatings. If you want to try something different definitely get it.

Maria: We're not spice wimps in our family but we think the regular biryani mix is better. This one has so much heat (mirch) that it overwhelms all the other spices. I recommend a cool yogurt chutney on the side for those who love biryani but don't like too much chili heat.
Also, there's an Indian/Pakistani grocery near me where I can get the same product for half the price - something to consider.

catbert: After traveling to India on business I got serious about learning how to make my own. One of my colleagues recommended this spice blend and it is much easier than making my own masala (although I do have the spice grinder for it). Mild to medium for my Indian colleagues. I use half the packet mixed with plain greek yogurt to marinate the chopped chicken thighs and breasts overnight.

Deep fry two thinly sliced onions until golden and crispy in 1 cup of vegetable oil and drain on paper. Reserve the now flavored oil.
Chop a bunch of fresh cilantro and a bunch of fresh mint and hold on the side.
Bloom a good pinch of saffron in ghee or milk.

Brown the chicken in 1/4 cup of the onion-frying oil, when it is almost ready,
Put another 1/4 cup of the onion-frying oil into your Instant Pot and put on saute - bloom the remaining contents of the spice packet in the oil for a minute or two (keep your face out of the vapor). Hit stop.
Put the browned chicken pieces into the bloomed spices and stir.
Sprinkle a good sized handfull of chopped cilantro and mint on top of the chicken
Sprinkle a good sized handfull of crispy onions on top of that
Add your RINSED...
